So--as the big snowstorm is beginning, here it is, Feb.1, it's 12 degrees outdoors and 61 degrees indoors. Look what came flying up from the basement to flutter around the kitchen and living room! (no, not a bat!!)

My son said that he had left some caterpillars in a container which was then supposedly emptied and put in the basement this fall--maybe it's one of them! :)

That's fun! We had a fly buzzing around here on one of our warmer days (upper 20's) this past week. Not as glorious as your bug friend, but it was quite unexpected. The poor guy didn't make it overnight though...I think I'm okay with that. Not a fan of flies! LOL!

That moth?? is probably very happy to be indoors and is a sure sign that Spring will be coming.

Happy to be a "Raggedy Ann" in a Barbie World!

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

Oh, that is so cool! I had one a couple of years agoaround Christmas that I assumed hatched from one of my houseplants that I summered out doors. I fed it sugar water and it was fun to watch it suck it up. It lasted several days but never did much flying, think it was warm enough in the house to hatch but not warm enough for the cabbage moth to fly. Enjoy you hint of spring!

LOL! Three days ago my DD went out to the mailbox and came back to see a BEE still alive but obviously dying and rolling around in the SNOW outside by our front porch. It had to have been no 'warmer' than teens or low 20's out. We had (have?) a bee hive above our front porch this past summer but don't think the several attempts to rid ourselves of them were successful. What hardy little buggers.........and it looks like we're going to have to call in the big guns to deal with the nest.

And I like the reference to your little sign of spring by Nini - cute and makes me pine for warmer weather even MORE now!
