I just need to shout from the rooftops... I got my braces off! They were so homely!
I had braces as a teenager too but a severe injury that occurred in my 20's came back to haunt me these years later and threw off my bite--so I had to have them again. PU
I have to wear these clear retainers now, which make my teeth look huge but I am happy--and so grateful to be able to have a better bite without surgery.
Last week I made the final payment on them too! No more braces and no more braces debt!

That is great! I can relate as when I was a teenager I had them twice, for a total of five years. Then fast forward a few years they wanted me to have braces again, no way wasn't going to happen (especially with the pain, sore mouth, and then with the retainers no one could understand what I was saying). They never did correct my huge overbite, so figured what difference is the third time going to do.
I am probably going to have to have braces on my upper front teeth for a few months after I have some reconstructive work done. I must admit that I havne't been looking forward to any of it, but I think it is fabulous that I know other women now who have had braces and even adult braces! :)
