Hi! I'm a expectant first-time mom and need something to keep these hands and this mind occupied during my last 2 months of pregnancy. I am wanting to make some wool soakers for the baby's cloth diapers. I got the idea to buy a circle loom today and have actually made one already. I really like using the loom, but feel like with a little instruction, I might be able to improve on my current design. Anyone have any patterns or links to share for circle loom patterns? I'd greatly appreciate any help. Thanks!

Angie

Angie you might try this link out. I don't know just what size loom you have and what you have in mind. http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/loomed-patterns.html

I hope that helps.

Blessings, Sheri

Thanks Sheri! That gives me a better idea of what to do. I bought the Knifty Knitter set with 4 different loom sizes. I think I can use this pattern and adjust it for a bigger size just fine. Take care, Angie

Isela Phelps has the best site for instructions: http://www.isela.typepad.com/loomknitting/

LOTS of patterns for other things: http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/loom_knitting.php

Thanks Elizabeth! The site for instructions is wonderful! That's what I've been needing. You see, I'm not experienced in knitting. My mom is great at it and tried to teach me, but I just can't seem to loosen up enough for it to be enjoyable for me. My work is totally unorganized and very tense in places. The loom has really helped in keeping my stitches more uniform. I really think the instructions will help. At least I can get the basic terminology down so I know what the basic stitches look like. I'll definitely visit both sites and may take you up on your offer for help here very soon!

I too picked up my first set of looms when I was pregnant. I was on bedrest from 16 weeks and needed something to occupy my time. My Rosemary is now 3 and she gets all sorts of loom knit goodies! It is much easier to keep track of what you are doing on the looms, especially with little ones running around. Anything you need let me know!

Sheri... thanks for the link to the loom knitting patterns!!! My 8 yr old and I have recently taken up loom knitting for charity together with our church group. We just love it and I am so tickled to find a site with so many resources for the loom knitting.
