Sudoku gets my mind going in the mornings. I usually try to first find the across and the down with the numbers in order. Then I work across from top to bottom and then top to bottom from left to right....does that make sense? Anyway, I want so bad to do the difficult level in pen.

I often have trouble falling asleep because my mind is racing. Believe it or not, at night, a quick game of an easy level helps my mind calm down.

One of the best compliments from one of my daughters: "Moma, you smell good...like dirt."

Hi Catherine, I'd like to use pen too but no way. I agree that it can be fun in the mornings and very much so at night too. Do you play online too with a timer? I don't want to be timed for sudoku or for chess either. I'd rather time my time and enjoy unraveling the numbers.

DOes Sudoku seem too hard for you? Well you can even start out playing a KIDS version and go from the regular 9 number sets to 6 sets or for real beginners and getting to see how things work, the version that uses only 4 numbers is great too.

I LOVE Sudoku, Teresita! I do at least two puzzles before bed at night to help me wind down! I have a little trouble with the expert level, though... I'll be checking out that video tomorrow!!! Thank you!!! - Nini

You asked if I time myself.....not exactly. I've tried but it makes me too nervous and then I mess up. But what I do is kind of silly. If I work one in what I think is record time then I log it in the margin. It's a kind of "woo hoo, look at me" thing. Believe me, there are not that many with times logged in the margins.

Catherine,

I don't like playing games at all with a timer and certainly not Sudoku. What I meant is that you can play Sudoku online with the timer on or off. I just prefer playing and enjoying discovering where the numbers are without a ticking clock.

I thought it might be fun to share some places where we enjoy finding Sudoku. Do you have a favorite magazine or a favorite website or your daily newspaper for your daily dose of Sudoku?

Sometimes we may think that a game such as Sudoku is too hard or that we don't like numbers.

But when you get to actually begin playing Sudoku you can fall under its spell.

Here's a place for those who may enjoy playing and at different levels....
