This is no great sewing feat, I don't do those. Straight stitch is my name. Anyway, needed a pillow and didn't want to go buy one or material to make one, then I remembered I had some red velvet drapes that were not going to be used. So I made one. Maybe I should have posted this under thrifty nifty.

Hi Nancy - I think your pillow is great. It adds a nice punch of color to your couch. I am also a "modest" seamstress - nothing to fancy for me either. You've given me new hope though - very nice... I commented the other day on your needlepoint chair - its so pretty. I love the blue background.
lorraine, Thank you. Yes I love that little chair. Good to know I'm not the only one that can't sew up a storm. Sheila you always surport my little goings on. Penny, you can come over anytime.

Nancy - your house does look lovely. Very cozy... My mother sewed a lot and taught my daughter - but it kind of skipped a generation... I can handle the bare essentials - but I do not have the "flair" for it. Keep up the great work - at home and on the blog..
Nancy, looks great as always. Can't wait to see the throw. Maybe your idea will be in MJF mag! Thrifty Nifty is a current topic I noticed. Love the pillow color.
