LOL!! Hey Lisa, I'm right there with you! The pans I need to replace are the hand-me-downs I have had since college days. . . the ones the kids learned to cook in etc. I have always wanted my own set of Revere pans to go with my cast iron pans. Love the copper bottoms, the way they cook the food and it will be a long awaited gift to myself for all the cooking I do for everyone else

Not sure if I mentioned I have one of those wrought iron, 3-tiered pan holders. . . works wonderful for all my cast iron pans. . now I need to create something for all the misfits! LOL!! Oh,. . . and don't get me started on all the baking pans I have. . .LOL!!!

Okay it's time to move this challenge forward to the next level. . are you ready???????

Storage for our food stock!! Okay, we all live in homes, apartments, trailers, camps etc. . . storage space is at a premium and being organized does help. So. . . what to do with the storage of bulk purchases. . . Since everything is coded by date of purchase, it's easy to rotate the stock. . but how to store what. . . here is where we all need to get creative and share what is working for us.

I have several of those large plastic totes. . these will work great for things like sugar, flour, cereal, grains etc. Then I started to wonder about the canned goods. If I simply stack them on the shelves in the basement, I am worried about the dampness that might occur and rust the cans. . . not a good thing. So, decided to re-purpose an old dresser to hold all my towels, linens etc to free up my large linen closet for can storage. A nice dry place, perfect temperature year round and easy access to the kitchen ( just 4 steps around the corner!)

Now I am going to need to spill over to the basement. . . I don't want to use the plastic totes, they would be to heavy to move on the shelves. . . so, what do all of you do to keep the cans in good shape until needed?? ( I do use a dehumidifier, however, I still worry about the dampness effecting the cans)

Time to share!!
