oh kathy .. i have been collecting vintage fabrics for many years .. my favorites being the early olde homespuns .. don't have lots of those though .. i seem to make a project with them soon's i get them! i will have to check out the book you mention. thanks! xo

She has another book which I have right now from the library called Vintage Style. While it doesn't have instructions, it shows lots of ideas that can be easily figured out.
