Went online to our local library to request a copy of all but one of MJF books - only to find that with each and every book there were already two pending requests, putting me third in line to get them. I can understand ONE of them on hold, but THREE? So, SOMEbody here in my area must like her books, or could it be that she is also a newbie with MFJ and likes MJF stuff too?

It is very understandable! I love, LOVE my Mary Jane Books. I didn't get all three at once, but acquired them over time. My husband thinks I'm nuts because I'll actually hug my books when I'm looking at one. They are just that super.

WOW if only my library had them I wouldn't mind being #10 on the list
It would be great to read those books. I even tried to get them online somewhere from my country but they only had one, the small one with the magnets. AH well......

I did finally get my books from the library - and HATED to take them back. Maybe Santa Claus will be good this year and bring me one (or two?)

And Dutchy, if your library doesn't carry a certain book - I would think that they would have the option to obtain a book from other libraries in the area if you put in a request for one. I think it's called an intralibrary loan. It costs nothing and they'll let you know when the books arrives. I do this very often and I don't mind the wait too much......it just makes it more special and enjoyable when you DO get them!

TexBetsy.....you are NOT alone in your book luvin' ! I smell the pages when I riffle through them, and see if I can get a mental picture of what the person(s) was like by who read it last. So if you're in a library in Findlay, OH and see some woman smellin' the pages....... Luckily DH loves books as much as I do and we have waaaaay too many. We like to get the old books, especially the classics, and display them. Oddly, we don't have a bookcase........

I love my books too. Looking through them lifts my spirits and provides such inspiration. I think the validation of who I am is important to me too. They live on my night stand most of the time but depending on the book they also visit the kitchen, craft room, and the hammock. I have a few books I consider "friends" books I go back to time and time again and Mary Jane's books are on that list.
If you don't have them or access to them I would put them on my Christmas wish list for sure. They are not books you look at once and say " Isn't that nice." and don't read again. Promise!

I LOVE my Mary Jane books!! I ordered the 'lifebook' through a book club several years ago. That book SO inspired me. It was also through the lifebook that I found these forums. I bought the other 2 books soon after. I even surpised my good friend with her books, and she LOVES them too!
