Are there any Vermont sisters out there? Would love to meet some of you!

I live in Maine, but I visit Vermont from time to time. I love Vermont. I worked in Putney for about a year.
Spent all my money at Green Mountain Spinnery!

Not many sisters in Maine that I know of so I thought I'd reach out regionally...
I'd love to meet some nearby sisters too!

Glad to meet you,

Karen

I just visited your etsy site.
I love your quilts and your pink plaid elephant and other fun animals!

Thanks Karen! You probably aren't that far away, since I live all the way on the eastern side of the state. I can see the Conneticut River from my windows in the house. Maybe sometime we could meet halfway somewhere in New Hampshire. Have you ever been to Keepsake Quilting? That's one of my favorite stores, and it's in the lakes region.

Hi Sarah, We're in western VT in the islands. My husband had been out to the NEK to visit the fish hatchery there, but I haven't been out there yet (just moved here this summer)

Hi Sheila! It's great to know you're out there. I guess I didn't know there were islands you could live on in Lake Champlain. That is very cool!

Hi Sarah !

I don't live in Vermont now, but I grew up there and go back frequently to Springfield to visit my family. Maybe sometime when I'm up for a visit we could meet up somewhere. We go shopping fairly often in White River/West Lebanon, so maybe in that area if it isn't too far for you?

Hugs,
Luanne

Hi Luanne! That isn't too far for me. About an hour, but that's not bad for my area. I go there for big shopping trips myself. Just let me know. :)

Hi Sarah!

I've been away for a few days and lost this thread until tonight...
Yes, I would love to meet halfway sometime!

I think I have been to Keepsake Quilts one time. If this is the place I'm thinking of, it was wonderful and I would love to go there again.
Even if it isn't, I'd love to see it.

Hi! I just joined FG, I live in VT. And can also see the Ct river from my house in the east, the north east that is! I'm in the northeast kingdom of Vt right on the Nh border...

Welcome Elaine!

I'll be headed "home" to Vermont next Thursday to spend the holiday with my family in Springfield. It's amazing how I've lived in PA now for over 25 years, but still call Vermont home!

Thanks Elaine!

That verse is special to me because the love of my life is a beekeeper. We just extracted our honey a couple of weeks ago, and it looks so pretty all bottled up on my kitchen counter.

Have a wonderful holiday - I'd like to see a little snow up there, but not enough to give all my family traveling problems!

Hugs,
Luanne

Hi Elaine! I'm only about 30 minutes from you! I live in Barnet, so we're not that far if you take 135 on the New Hampshire side. Would love to meet you sometime! I have several friends who live in Lunenburg too!

Wow, that is close Sarah! We could meet somewhere inbetween for coffee or something! That would be great! I enjoy sewing, quilting, embroidery, fiber art and mixed media... We have a lot in common. I wonder who you know in Looneybird! Maybe I know them, my husband, son and I have been here 12 years on the 29th. But I still don't know everyone in town!

Hugs,
Elaine

That would be fun! I only get to VT a few times a year, but maybe we can work something out.
