Yep, the age old Q & A....what to do with Grammie's old chenille potty seat cover???? Why,,, make an apron out of it of course! lolol! I found (& bought) this silly apron, after all, this is one I Do Not have in my collection! How about you? Hubby & I love our favorite little Vintage shop over on Monroe St, in Spokane, WA., called "Area 58" ...we never leave empty handed! My last fantastic purchase of 2010!
Happy New Year!

hmmmm, now to find a potty seat cover & make another one,,,maybe even add a little lace ruffle around the edge! lol! Infact I think I need to make one for my 1963 Scotty, "The Scotty, with a Potty",,, wouldn't that look cute hanging on the door outside the 'potty room'? lol! >^..^< Happiness is being a katmom. Love it! love it!!!
Now that is what I call using your creative mind overtime. LOL!
I have to be honest and say, I would love to have one. Hummmm; I may have to scout out my friends bathrooms and relieve (pardon the pun) them of their porcelain throne covers. Also, most covers are pretty heavy and sturdy, this little gem would last a long time.
Toilet lid covers for qprons? What will tomorrow bring LOL!

I caught myself looking more closely at an old photo, where I could partly see the bathroom...& I noticed the potty seat lid cover, it was a shaggy fabric and I actually caught myself wondering how it would look as an apron....hmmmm! Do I need therapy? lol!

Katmom,
I am still amazed over the toilet lid cover apron. My hubby and I went to Wal-Mart. ( Actually I was suppose to be just walking around so I could work on recovering from hip surgery.) Any whooooo, I knew when I left my house, if I could make it to the bath section, I would scout out the lid covers. Girlfriend, I gotta tell you, I purchased 3. LOL!!!!! My husband, thinks the anesthesia is still lingering around in my limited brain cells. With pity in his eyes, he questioned why I was buying 3 lid covers that in no way matched our bathroom, I started to explain. All he heard was MaryJaneFarms and the word Apron. He raised both arms in the air, and said he did not need to know more. LOL!!!
Of course, I offered to make one for him to wear this summer while manning the outdoor grill. He didn't look to intereseted. Ha, Ha, Ha!
I think it would be fun to do this for an apron swap. FUNNNY!!!!
Anyway, thanks for making my funny bones giggle together. LOL!

Here is a creative thought, One could purchase two of those small rugs that hug the bottom of the toilet next to the floor, Sew two of them together, Add a liner and pretty strap, and voila! An over size HoBo bag! LOL!
Hugs, Tickles and Giggles to all! |

That's really a good idea. I don't have one of them in my apron collection either. That would make a terrific bib for someone with a lot of drool too.

I was lookin at it and thinkin if you sewed two of them together leavin the top open and have a giant pocket for a walker! I have a few family members usin walkers right now and they are always tryin to carry books and newspapers with them. I think that may just work!
