A programmer at work gave dh a computer that he just recently "wiped clean". It's no longer needed there, so instead of it going to recycling it may come here.
I suggested to dh that I have it in the kitchen for recipes. Is that crazy? I'd have to find room to put it. I'm thinking about it. Maybe dh will go along with it.
I drag my computer (laptop) into the kitchen ALL the time. I get a lot of my recipes online and haven't gotten into printing them off yet. I say go for it!

The only problem I see is that kitchen air is slightly greasier so you might need to have it cleaned every year or so or the fan could stop working.
my new kitchen has a built in computer desk area with granite counter top. I have 3 drawers on the right hand side next to the fridge and a long drawer right under the granite counter top. Above where the computer sets is a cabinet space with 2 large shelves in it. It all is tucked in between the pantry and the refrigerator on one wall of my kitchen. I absolutely love it.
Ours is in our kitchen. There is a counter top built into one corner that was here when we moved in (built specifically for a computer). We do clean our computer from dust and dirt often.
Mine's a laptop and I definitely keep it in the kitchen! From ITunes, recipes and keeping my nose in other people's business on Facebook, it's indispensible! LOL!
