Blocks will be 12 1/2" finished size.
They may be any type:pieced,appliqued or embroidered. None painted.
Quality fabric please.
Make 12 blocks. Keep 1 and send me 11.
Enclose a Large envelope with enough postage to return your new blocks.
Sign up until January 17.
Send Blocks to me by March 25.

Hi Darlene,
Sign me up for your spring quilt block swap. I can't wait to get started, these block swaps are so much fun and I just love that the blocks are all different patterns. I'm still trying to decide on the placement of my Christmas blocks. They were all so beautifully done.

Put my name on the list. What I like about the swaps is the making of holiday themed quilts. Seems I never have time to do one and this way I get a beautiful quilt to put out on the holidays. I can't stop looking at the Christmas blocks, they are beautiful and I love the look of all of them together.
Happy New Year everyone! We are stuck inside, it's cold and blowing and snowing off and on out there. Haven't been able to go out since Thursday. I will be looking thru my stash. Perfect time for this. Thanks Darlene!

Yeah...already 5 of us. Denise,Shirley,Diana,Linda and Me!
I feel addicted to these blocks!LOL! They are all so beautiful and can you believe everyone made a different pattern. I keep looking too and showing mine to everyone that comes near me! I'm even taking mine to show some ladies at church and to my physical therapy office. Everyone is in awe that we do this for each other. I am in awe also and I love you sisters!
On another sad note...If you don't know, one of our sisters 5yo son has cancer. It's Babysmama...Elizabeth. She desperately needs prayer. I sent her a package and some money this am to help with the many needs she will have. He starts radiation and chemo on mon. He had surgery and just got home, They live 2 hrs from the hospital. He needs divine intervention it has spead from his kidney to his lungs. Any little bit will help her on this terrible journey. Go to her site and you will be able to read her blogs. We are a loving and supportive sisterhood! If you want her address email me.

Howdy, I just have one question... do the blocks have to be a spring theme or is that just the name of the swap? I guess I just need some more info...thanks bev

Beverley...It is an Easter/Spring fabric quilt block. We just finished a Christmas themed block swap and a Fall before that. Does that help?

Count me in!! I am loving my Christmas blocks.....I like to lay them out on the floor and just look at them. Glad you other quilters know what I mean that sounds like I'm crazy or something. Just looking at the blocks over and over again. I am ready to start on this new swap. Colors like green, yellow and purple come to mind. Is that what others are thinking? I just didn't know if they had to be like easter or flower fabrics.. as long as it is just spring colors. I just don't have like special fabrics for specific holidays.... but colors I can do...

With the blocks we make for the sping/Easter swap, I'd like if everyone wrote their name on the block. Using a fabric pen to write name and town, state or just state. Every block swap I've been in has done that. This is the first swap site, I've been involved with, where it isn't done. I like to know who did what block and a hundred years from now some farmgirl will buy one of the quilts and be thrilled to have the names on the blocks. What do you all think?

No names on the front but I would like the names so that I know who did which block and the name of the block the backs of my quilts have the info on it but I really don't like the names on the front. Mostly because I have never found a pen that writes all that well and I HATE my handwriting.

With the two pictured most of the girls just pinned a note as who and what was each block and then when I quilted them I placed the name and block name on the back with a fabric pen that way I know who and what but not on the front.
