What do you need to do to host this? Maybe I could do it? - Nini

I'm not sure what is needed either but I'll ask brends and I think I can do it.

I have sent Brenda an email about the parameters and as soon as I hear from her, I will post a new swap thread.

I did, too, Star... I haven't heard back from her, though. If you want to take this one, though, that'd be great. Let me know! :) - Nini

Hey, Nini--I think you probably should take this one if you want. I should probably host something a bit smaller for my first time.

LOL! That's exactly what I was thinking, Star!! Maybe instead we could do four three-month swaps so that you and I could get our feet wet? I know some people also find it difficult to keep it going for an entire year, so maybe shorter swaps would be easier? What do you all think? I'm game! If you want to discuss it a little bit, please email me, okay? Thanks! - Nini

I am thinking of joining but would like to wait until you the guidelines. Maybe instead of signing for a year, sign up each month? Some of the other swaps are doing it that way now. I will wait to hear details.

the year round was fun but I would have one return address for everything and Not Mary Janes as she has no idea who they would go to. Then if things got returned the swap host could inform the SS it did not make it and to advise what to do with do with it. Or just use your own address for the return. I had 1 or 2 lost and the final one returned. Diana

Hi, everyone...Nini and I are going to co-host this swap and have been thinking about doing it a quarter at a time - you would have the same SS for three months and then switch - or we could do it month-to-month like Beth's ornament swap....what would you all prefer?

Nini and Star . . . I participated in this until there were so many drop-outs and Brenda had to keep changing the person I was to send to. I think that a YEAR-LONG commitment is too hard to follow through for any number of reasons. I know that reshuffling and reassigning is a MAJOR issue.
I believe that your idea of doing it quarterly . . at the most . . is the best idea. That way, if something comes up for anyone the reassigning process won't be so complicated and affect so many participants.
I also think that co-hosting is a great idea . . share the load!!! I know from the swaps that I host . . they can be a lot of work. I wish you the best!!! (No, I don't think I'll sign up . . :( . . you girls have fun!) CJ

I would love to participate and doing it quarterly sounds great! I have never done one before though so I don't really know how they work! Excited to get to participate in one though!

Hi girls - we're leaning towards quarterly, just to make it easier on everyone. We're just ironing out the details and will get back to you asap. :)
Star - I emailed you yesterday, but am not sure you received it... Should I re-send?

Diana, has a great idea! Whoever hosts it should have all the participants use her return address, then if something gets lost it will go to her rather than to Mary Jane.

Hi girls! I just saw in Star's Bible Study that she posted that she's very ill... So please bear with us. I don't want to get ahead of things without her, okay? But we're going to do it, for sure! :)
In the meantime - if any of you have any other suggestions, we could use them! :) Hopefully we can get something started next week!
Star - I'm so sorry you're so sick... I hope you feel better soon. When you're up to it, please check for my email. I heard from Brenda, and she had some great insight that I am anxious to share with you, but I really want you to feel better first. I'm also not sure if you've receid my two emails yet or not, but chances are you haven't even been able to check them yet, since you're sick. I'll wait to hear back from you. Just please take care of yourself, okay? I want you to get better! :)
Hugs to all - Nini

I would like to join this, but I will definitely need the guidelines since I haven't ever done it.
Thanks Rejena
