On a whim I purchased some wood spools (some w/thread, so empty).
Does anyone have any ideas of how they can be used?

... I plan to use most of mine to make these.. figure that I'll make them not necessarily in Christmas theme but to suit my craft/sewing/disaster room!

I have an old blue mason jar I keep old spools in, just to look at and for something to dust! Love the garland idea, Carol

After seven kids, I hardly have any left...seems like they always ended up in a project of one sort or another....

How did your Garland work out? Do you have any pictures of the stuff that you made?

I must confess.. I have yet to do those yet! I am in the midst of clearing up my total disorganized craft room! It may be more likely that I'll do the spool garlands in Spring. I am on the look out for the beads to use as spacers... I think that I'll make those rolled paper beads (http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-Paper-Beads/) ...I am not into plastic or metal beads for this project.
I promise pictures as soon as I get them done!
:o)
