I am crocheting slippers and they are going to be slick on hard wood floors. Is there anything I can put on the bottoms of them to keep them from being so slippery? Nothing comes to mind, and I don't need one more fall hazard! Thanks!

I haven't ever tried it but I once saw a pair with lines of the puffy fabric paint on the bottom. Do you think that would work?

There is a product called Jiffy Grip that is made for putting on the feet of sleepers - with the small dots on them for no slip soles. You can purchase at JoAnns or through the mail at http://www.homesew.com/sc/productsearch.cgi?storeid=*1a6f0c47d0269a1c016e7baf28fb52

I hope that helps.

I made slippers this year for Christmas gifts, but out of fabric, not yarn. I used puff paints and they puffed up into wonderful non-skid lines.

So my daughter came over, and I was telling her I wanted to skid proof these slippers and she said " I just use puff paint". Never dawned on me to ask her! Thank you ladies, this was a big help, Carol
