For all you Esty sellers out there, any tips you can give me?

My shop name is MadeByaCountryGirl. I've just listed about 5 items in the last 2 days.

Thanks for any ideas!

I see you have made a sale already. Congrats! As for tips, the Etsy forums and Storque blog are great for getting shop help. But my 2 major tips are list new items/re-list often (at least once a day) and continually work on taking good photos. Good luck!

The more items you list, the more you will get "hits" .. views, sales, hearts, etc. Good luck! :)

I'll forward you an article on one of the top sellers tips. It is awesome. Will get you sales daily after two months. So, the best tip I can give you is stock up your inventory.

The more you have the more you sale. The top sellers all have over 100 items listed. I'm almost to 40 items. So next year my goal for Jan/Feb is to reach 100 items. I have three shops so that is going to be a real accomplishment for me.

I've been doing my homework and it has paid off.

Check out my co-op website for farmgirls www.sunshinefarmgirlcoop.com
Lots of exciting things to grow your business coming next month and the rest of 2011!!! Email me for details.

I looked at your shop page. You know where you can go to info/appearance? That first line take off your shop name and use tag words of what you have listed instead. Like country quilted purses, fleece hats etc.. That is one of the top tips Etsy just posted recently.

Visit vintagescrap and see her page and listing tags. She was featured recently with all the things she's done to increase her sales.

You need to use all five of your pictures too. Take them outside in the sunlight. Put them on someone, it can be a side view if they're camera shy. Show the inside as well as outside.

Is there an all cotton fleece with the cotton flannel inside? If so I'd like one for my dh and myself. I use a black cotton yarn hat with the faux fur around the edges. It looks Russian. I love it. So, if you can add something to feminine it up I'd like that too.
Let me know what colors you can do them in.

marjean,

sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, but I've had computer problems.

thanks for the tips! I am working on lots of leather jewelry to add as well.

I don't think I've seen cotton fleece, just polyester. I have red, light blue, medium blue, forest green, and black right now. I have cut out (but not sewn) a pink stripe hat with matching scarf. I'd just need to put it together. If you're interested, let me know. My hats are one size fits most, but if you want a made-to-order, you could let me know your measurement.

thanks!

What cute items! Do fill in your bio, include a pic,and for hat displays look on eBay for mannequin or cosmetology heads. People have a tendency to think what or whoever they see wearing the hat, that's what the hat is for-so I have 2 female heads (one blonde,1 brunette)and 1 guy. Also start a circle and favorite different items & sellers-will bring more people to you.

Kathy, Hi and welcome to Etsy! Make sure to add a link to your Etsy shop to your signature line here on MJF...it's been awhile, but i think you do that in "profile". There are a lot of people here who will click on that and tell their friends. It's all about promotion! Good luck, Di
