I went out to lunch with my clinic ladies and upon returning home noticed my husbands van and my daughters car parked on the street.

Hannah was headed back to school when a woman went speeding through a red light and hit her totaling her little car. She called 911 and then her dad who drove to the intersection not 4 houses down from us. The lady admitted it was her fault that she was adjusting her visor when she drove through. 2 witnesses said the lady never stopped just plowed on through hitting Nan.

Hannah is fine...we just got back from the ER because she was complaining of a headache.

Lord....This has been an awful, awful week and I am about ready to let the "dam" burst and have a good cry.

I don't know what I would do without this forum and the kind ladies that post here. Thank you for listening-

Oh my word, Melody! It has been a bad week! I would go ahead and let the dam break! Sometimes we need to have that release to let the stress out.

I am so glad that Hannah is fine! What a scary thing!

So glad your daughter is OK. Tomorrow she might be sore. Prayers headed your way. By the way, I recommend the shower for the big cry. the sooner the better.

Oh my. When it rains, it pours!! So thankful that your daughter is ok. I hate that she had to experience that terrible moment. And it's ok to cry when we are sad about circumstances!!!! God hears our groaning and sees our tears and lets us know that He has it all under control, even if it doesn't appear so to us. Bless you and your family.

Melody, aww dear sister. So sorry to hear about a rough week. As a mother, I am so very thankful that your daughter is okay. I'm glad she went to ER to get checked out. Please, do as your fellow sisters say and have a good cry. It will be so good for you in so many ways. Sending a gentle, warm hug.

So glad your daughter is ok. Soooooo many people out there driving and not paying any attention while they are doing it. Do they not realize they are in a machine that can kill?
I had a good cry myself today...not sure I feel better, though....It was caused by my youngest son, telling me he was 18 and could do anything he wanted, like driving to Indianapolis from here (5&1/2hrs) during a winter weather advisory. I begged him to wait until tomorrow and cried, which made him feel bad so he waited. Now I feel like a jerk....

So glad she's okay. I had a similar thing happen 3 weeks ago. My son hydroplaned into an interstate wall, spun across the road and hit the wall on the other side. Totalled his car. Thankfully he didn't hit anybody else. He'd only had his license 5 months so a portion of it was driver's inexperience. The phone call nearly did me in - apparently he was getting ready to call me and the call went through without him knowing it and all I could hear was somebody saying "Let me look at your arm. Do you think it's broke?" and then the person saying something about something being caused by the airbag. I was screaming at my son but he didn't hear me. It was the most terrifying phone call of my life. Thankfully he was okay but its not anything any mother should have happen.

How horrifying for all of you! Thank heavens your daughter is all right. We can protect our kids from many things, but there are so many drivers out there who don't pay attention, it takes my breath away sometimes the way people drive around here. And I live on a little back road out in the puckerbrush and people come bombing down here night and day.
Yikes! I hope your life settoles down a bit as we approach the holiday season...Karin

I am thankful that your daughter is okay and that her dad was right there to go help. It also helps that the lady admitted fault, although I'm sure she is mortified.

Like the other ladies said--go ahead and cry. You were/are still under a huge amount of stress and if crying helps, go for it.
