I had a recipe for this, which I think I got from another farmgirl here, but can not locate it.
Do any of you have a good recipe? I have tried castile soap and water-didn't like that. I also tried grating some ivory soap melting down in hot water, but didn't like that either
thanks for your help

I would love one too. None of my local stores carry one I want to use that I can afford!

I'd love it as well- I was just thinking about this today as my soap was running low.

I tried making a soap using a triple milled soap bar (grated) and water. Probably would have been a better success if I had been more careful and made sure that all off the soap was completely melted! Still, it's usable. I'll probably add some essential oils to it and remix it, using my immersion blender!

I tried the second recipe: http://www.hillbillyhousewife.com/homemade-dish-soap.htm

I don't think that I added vinegar/lemon juice, though. Also, an immersion blender (drink mixer) makes quick work of mixing those soap bits into the water. I think this is just one of those things that you have to experiment with. I would recommend that when your soap cools, that you stick your hand in there and check if there are any undissolved globs. That's what I did wrong. I wasn't patient enough to let the glogs fully dissolve :0(
