Hi all! I am Tasha (my dad named me after Tasha Tudor). I am 26, mama to two beautiful daughters Grace, 4yo, and Zoe 7mo. I am the blessed wife of Rob, my love for 13 of my 26 years. We have a little hobby farm in Northern Minnesota. We are growing organically and selling at a local farmer's market, I bake as well and sell my breads. I sew...LOVE TO SEW...mostly hippie type clothing, aprons and baby carriers. I am working at getting clot dolls under my belt. We are AP Heathen parents, we don't vaxx, we un-school, we try to live as naturally as we can. We are soon getting chickens form a friend/breeder as well as goats we are trading her for. We have only been here just over a year, so we are still working at getting things operational. I grew up on a farm here in Minnesota and my husband spent a lot of time on his uncle's growing up. I have posted a few times already, but I thought maybe I should post an intro!
Blessings to you all!! Tasha |

Welcome! I think you will love it here.
Our family is also attending farmers' markets this season for the first time and we sell many of our handcrafts as well. We also practice AP parenting.

Welcome Tasha! I've never been to Minnesota, ya sure, you betcha, but I hear it's beautiful. What's AP parenting? I've never heard of it before. Again, welcome! I'm sure you'll love it here.

you know...we really don't talk that way ;) Fargo is in North Dakota!! Man I hate that movie for the ya sure ya betcha reason....grrr...lol
AP parenting is attachment parenting....um....co-sleeping, no spanking, BFing, baby wearing, natural birthing (incidentally, we had our 7 mo here at home unassisted...) that kind of stuff.....

Hey Farm Girls!!!
Hi Tasha Welcome. What does "AP Heathen" parents mean? I have quite a few friends here in Texas who "unschool." I think that it is great. Your lifestyle sounds wonderful.
I love Minnesota. I was raised in Northern Illinois/Wisconsin and visited family in Minnesota. I am also of Swedish heritage.

Hi Tasha - You will be popular on this site with that name! Welcome - you will love all the great gals on this forum. I have never felt so much at home as I do here. Be sure to get in on the Teacup and Saucer Exchange - it is a little contest and the winner gets a nice surprise package. Also be sure to let us all know what you collect on the Collector's Treasure Chest forum. We have an ongoing Anne of Green Gables Round Robin you can join in on or just read as we go along and we just started a poetry forum for all of the budding poets in all of us! What kind of goats? I have a Nubian baby named Billy Bahh Bahh, his pic is posted on the Barnyard Buddies forum. He is a doll baby - hehehe the little guy thinks he is a dog, he played all day in the dog pen with my three littlest dogs! Blessed Be! If you sell any of your products be sure to let us all know. I love purchasing from the organic gals!

The goats we are getting are essentially three breeds...Alpine, Nigerian, Sanaan, Alpine/Nigerian Cross, Sanaan/Nigerian Cross. YAY! I remembered all that!!! WOOT!
I cannot remember the chickens...I know black silkie bantams for sure. My daughter had some, she got them forher birthday, but the coop got raided by a racoon :( We aren't quite sure how as my husband made it well fortified. The other chickens are Golden somethings
We do sell stuff. I am getting a wedsite worked on, but I will post things from time to time that I create :D I am mostly working on getting my inventory built up for the few flea markets and festivals we will be attending aside from our weekly farmers market (my Grace calls it the fleamer market because its a farmers market and a flea market, really. Too cute.)
Thanks for the great welcome!
