I am 51, and from what I have seen on the postings, I think a lot of us Farmgirls are in the bright shiny middle years of life! How many of you are over 50?

Geez, years ago I thought "over 50" would be wonderful: DD's & Hubby, grandbabies, would be sitting around our dining room table enjoying holiday meals! Not to be: Raising our 2 year old grandaughter the past 18 months. Not the way we planned life but...so very thankful she is with us, Nanny & Grandaddy. Yes this is "OUR" over 50 life. I turned 56 on Oct. 10,2010 & Sweet Hubby will be 60 on March 2, 2011. We are not alone. Raising grandchildren has become "EPIDEMIC". So Sad.

I'm 61 and grateful for every day, I also am a cancer survivor. At the local Relay for Life Event we are told to count our survival as our age. Hmmmm! That make me four! Four very precious years. Susan

Count me in this club...62 and still going strong! Age is only a number. I know some young people that are OLD! We are just getting better aren't we girls? Congrats to you brave cancer survivors! God Bless!

I am 68 years of age and have earned every gray hair on my head. Like Ruth, I am a Cancer survivor--at least thus far. I haven't reached the 5-year mark yet, but the doctor said it was curable. I don't feel the best and this year has been the hardest of my life. I know it will be better next year, but still have some WORK to be done.

I am 52 but don't really feel like I am. It is just a number, right? I think I have counted 4 cancer survivors just here alone. That is amazing!
