This apron is one of my newest additions to my Etsy shop. http://www.etsy.com/shop/summersplace

Every spring and fall, the number of people in the small Texas town of Round Top (population 77) swells to thousands, all looking for flea market finds to fine antiques at the Round Top Antiques Fair.

The fabric used in this Moroccan-inspired print apron was purchased in September, 2010, at the fall Round Top show. It was already late, but I stopped at one more venue. I found the feedsack used in this apron at one of the first booths. The woman told me that she had manay, many more at the beginning of the day, but had sold all but a few. She had bargain prices, so I know why. You know what they say about the early bird!

This apron features a bright red and navy blue Moraccan print feedsack fabric on one side. The opposite side is new red and white check fabric. There is no waistband, but pleats that result in a very flattering fit. The pleats are accented by red buttons on one side, and blue buttons on the other side. An edging of pretty red rick-rack peeks out around the edge of the apron

Also included in your purchase is a white and red dishtowel that has a rick-rack loop sewn in so you hang it from the buttons on the apron when not in use..

These reversible aprons do double duty. In the kitchen, wear the "new" side to catch spills and splashes, then flip the apron around to serve your lovingly prepared meal.

The feedsack fabric is NOT reproduction.

I checked out your store yesterday and marked it as a favorite. I love your blog! I live in the City--actually 2 cities--San Antonio on the weekends and Austin during the week (to work). I would LOVE to live where you do. Maybe some day!

Love your apron. My mom and I were in Roundtop this past Sept. also. We love going and try to make twice a year. Maybe we passed each other and didn't know it. Maybe we could meet there sometime.

Your blog is adorable! I love the cowgirl art. I just discovered the Round Top show this past spring--I am a latecomer to the fun. I have never been to Canton--that is the next one I want to explore.
