I recently ate the shepherd's pie outpost meal while hiking in Oregon, and it was really good! All it needed was boiling water, and I had a hot, hearty meal right on the trail. There wasn't much waste to pack out, either...just a paper bag (that I ate out of), a plastic inner bag, and a little envelope of some kind of preservative or something that was in with the meat. If you're wanting to buy these for your trip, buy them here on the website! I paid almost $13 at R.E.I. for just one, and it looks like the meals are less than half that price through MJF!
Jessie- Oh my gosh! Yes buy from the Website! And the shipping is really not bad especially if you order a couple things all at once. The guys in the office are awesome.
The Shepherd's pie one is really good. Have you tried any of the morning cereals? I love them. I just got a shipment today of MJF food and I am so excited! I promised Nora MJF Outback Oatmeal in the morning if she would be a good girl and go to bed. Guess who didn't fight going to bed this evening! LOL

I don't think the "outpost" size would feed two men. I think it would be too small. I mean, I was able to nearly finish it myself even though it is generously-sized. The link to the Food Pantry is http://shop.maryjanesfarm.org/store/c/40-Meals.aspx. But they don't have the shepherd's pie on there; that was just at R.E.I.
You might try calling the guys in the office to see if you can order through the office. Jessie- Yup! Nora went to bed with the promise of oatmeal in the morning. It is so yummy. It tastes like an oatmeal cookie without raisins but is much better for you! Nora loved it this morning!
