Hello friends. Just feeling discouraged after a couple of things that happened yesterday. Trying to process and sort out my thoughts but would truly appreciate prayer. Thank-you so much.

My prayers are with you, Angie. :) Things will get better, I promise. Sometimes it just takes time. You're not alone, though. He is always with you, and so are we! If you would like to "talk," or have any specific prayer requests, please feel free to email me anytime, sister! We love you!
I am thinking of you all today, and thanking God for each and every one of you! May you all have a blessed Thanksgiving!
Love and big hugs -

Kristina, I am sorry that your DD did not stop by, I imagine you were disappointed. But you had good camping stories to share! yep, we have a few of those ourselves. Like the night the bed in the pop-up collapsed onto the propane tanks (yes, hubby and I were in it at the time!!)I wouldn't get back in after that and spent a miserable night sleeping on the dinette. And seriosuly! They did not notice your hair-gee whiz, it looks so amazing and you had literally feet cut didn't you. Oh well. What can you do. I'm just glad it's Friday. Think I need some quiet time. I'm going to do some reading this weekend and maybe work on a couple of crochet dish-cloths. Easy stuff so the brain can unwind. What are you all doing this weekend?

Kristina, I'm so sorry that your daughter didn't come by, too. I know you were hoping. That's so hard. And I feel horrible that nobody noticed your haircut! You look absolutely beautiful and perky with your new look! BEAUTIFUL!
You know, girls, there have been a couple of things on my heart that I would like to share, if ít's okay...
First, I was watching "The Ten Commandments" the other day. I was thinking how awesome it must've been for Moses to actually BE in THE presence of the Lord and hear His voice like Moses did. I asked the Lord why - would it be possible for me to ever really hear His voice like Moses did. I immediately heard in my heart, "But what more would you want me to say?" And I remembered the Bible and the Cross in my heart. I was extremely humbled. Isn't that just so true - what more COULD He say? He has already given us all we need. It has already all been said. In Christ, it is all complete. "It is finished."
Then last night we were watching "Jesus of Nazareth," and it came to the scene where the crowd wanted to stone the woman caught in the act of adultery. It has always bothered me because the man was never held accountable - as is usually still the same, even today, just like when Adam tried to lay all the blame on Eve in the garden. But then the profound moment came when Jesus told them that he who was without sin should cast the first stone, and how under the condemnation of each man's own heart, every one of her accusers had to walk away. Gasp! ALL of them were truly held accountable! I had never thought of it that way before! Message received, Lord!
Then Jesus asks the woman where her accusers are, and she says they have gone, and then He tells her that He therefore neither accuses her. I started to think about how in Heaven it will be that way. I am sure we have all offended God and man in one way or another in this life. And only God Himself is good and without sin, so only He would cast the first stone. But when we're there standing before our Heavenly Father God at the throne of judgment, even with Satan pointing and shaking his finger in our faces, those we have offended will have to walk away from our condemnation, just like it was with the woman in the story. Then God will turn and see Jesus' wounds which silently cry out to the Father on our behalf, and His Heart will be moved as He remembers His Son's profound, loving sacrifice. Then there truthfully is no testimony that can be brought against us; "there is, therefore, no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus." God will turn to us with eyes of love, compassion and mercy and simply open His Loving Fatherly Arms to welcome us Home. What an awesome picture of The Promise, don't you think? Oh, what Blessed Assurance!
Father Arminjon in his book, "End of the Present World and the Mysteries of the Future Life," discusses how when we are finally Home with the Father, reviewing our lives frame by frame, it will not in fact be God who judges us, but rather in the fullness of the realization of our lowly state, it will be our own hearts that will judge us. When we see the perfect beauty and love of God, we will then be overcome with the knowledge of just how truly unclean, imperfect and unworthy we are. It will then be when we truly understand that even "our best is as filthy rags," and we will be overcome by the depth of Jesus' love and by the profound understanding of the depth of His sacrifice for us. I truly believe it is then that we will turn to Jesus with the most inexpressible grief in hearts, and in His Loving Compassion, He will simply cleanse us and make us whole. He will perfect and accomplish in us that which we were unable to do ourselves while alive on earth, making us completely holy and presentable before God. Joyfully leaping into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father, we will be like the prodigal son returning home..."once dead, but now alive!" And oh the joyful feast that will begin! Halleliujah! Praise the Lord our God!
May you always know and trust the joy of your salvation in Christ! I just love you all so much. I pray you will always rest assured you have nothing to worry about - it IS really going to be okay - because of HIM!
Hugs,
Nini

Nini, thank-you so much for sharing this. Wow, such good words to hold dear. I printed them out and have been reading them the last couple of days. Helps to put things back into (God's) perspective.

Ditto on what the other ladies said Nini. :)
My 18 yo dd stopped in for a visit. Things went well, but it's hard to say why she stopped, other than to ask if she could stay here during winter break....one day at at time....
Lots of sick kids here, and we are down to one dose of elderberry extract.
I'm still looking for part-time work, and it's been difficult. Most jobs are temporary for the season here right now.
I have a long cleaning day today....praying I get through it to have reading and writing time. I haven't had time to read more than once a week it seems.
We are putting up our tree, and have been posting many of the ornaments on my SCRAP blog (below).
....I better get to work, and get the fire going in the wood stove. It's cold in here.
Our temps went from 60° to 30° on Friday, so we didn't camp (hmpf!) We were told the heater doesn't work in the pop-up we borrow.
Have a blessed day!

hi Kristina, To bad on the camping.. Hey Kristina maybe you could get one of the temp jobs and it could work into a full time job? Depending what they are of course. I am so glad things went well for you and your 18 year old. I hope it can keep up that way...One day at a time won't be easy but it is a way to start out for you all. She isn't going to feel committed and it will be easier for you to back out too if you need too. I sure will pray for you all on this.
What does elderberry extract do for you?
Take care Kristina blessings darlene

I'm curious about the Elderberry too. (Hopeing that it gets rid of some of those pesky colds) We're going to do our tree in a couple of weeks. This will be the first Christmas without my son home (He lives in FL) but I'm going to enjoy the time anyway. Just me, hubby and our dog Jemma.

Elderberry extract is an immune booster, and is loaded with vitamin C (all natural). It can also come in the form of juice or syrup. I don't have elderberries here, so I have to buy it. My kids are snot nosed, coughing, having trouble breathing etc. With 3 doses of it a day, they feel better in a few days. I'm told it may kill viruses that doctors can't prescribe meds for also. We are simply trying to avoid costly medical bills, unnecessary treatments, and of course the chemicals. So far, it's been the best thing we've bought this season. If you go to the bottom of this link, the benefits are explained in short (colds, etc).

My holistic specialist has this, but in small bottles. We need larger bottles for our size family. I found it in the only health store here, but it was $27.99/ 8 oz. I found the exact same thing on Amazon, and could by 2 - 8 oz. bottles with free shipping for about the same cost.

Well I definitely will have to try that. I just ordered Wellness off of Amazon because I know that works pretty good so I will check that out. Nothing else is working well and I have missed 2 days of work because of the same symptoms your children are experiencing and I really am not a very good patient and I am by myself, so I whine a lot when I pray. Thanks Kristina. love darlene
