You know I think God has a real sense of timing. My husband did something dumb last week and got his son (18 year old) all upset and as the stepmom I got stuck in the middle. Anyway it ended up friday where his father and I threw him out of the house because of his abusive and disrepectful behaviour. This is a child that has been put through re-hab but still continues to use. When I went to Sunday school yesterday the lesson was on proverbs and the theme was on raising children with discipline and love. Sometimes it is tough but we have to pray that God will be present when he is finally able to open his heart to hear his voice. Please keep my husband Kevin and his son Kyle in your prayers as they work through the pain of the situation, pray that both of them will hear his voice and open their hearts.

Lesley,
Prayers for you, Kevin and Kyle. Definately a tough situation, and heartbreaking too. Praying that Kyle sees what he is doing to himself and to his family, and decides to give rehab another chance.
Hugs,

Lesley, prayers are being sent up. I am in a situation of kicking a child out, but under different circumstances. Will pray for healing and for Kevin and Kyle.

I never got a call regarding the part time job I applied for. 14 years without outside work makes it difficult to even get an interview. I'm considering a 3rd shift job that is hiring.

It seems as if everyone here at the house is depressed and focused on what we don't have vs. the good and what we do have. I know it's hard, but it sure makes the atmosphere negative and thick with unhappy emotions.

Sometimes the hard times help us move closer to God. Been there myself and God was with me the whole time, just had to stay focused on him. I hope your cousin can find Gods light in the darkness.

By the way, thank you sisters for your prayers. We have found a way for my stepson to continue to live with us until he graduates high school. Just keep him in your prayers that he will open his heart to Jesus

Leslie, I so agree with you. Been through that also. It is so painful as the 2 becoming 1 flesh is tearing. Lynette, I too pray that your cousin is able to, as much as he can, turn over this terrible burden to the Lord. My prayer is that God makes a way where there is no way and that God's wishes be glorified. God doesn't want any marriage to fail, however He gave us all a free will. May you all be the support he needs to follow hard after the Lord. I will be praying. Lynette, if it isn't betraying a confidence, could we have your cousin's first name. Blessings!

Thanks for Scott's name Netty. I will pray that God melts Scott's bitterness and gives him peace while he allows God to build a stable marriage. Bless you!

Hello All,

Quick introduction, since I've never posted here before - I'm a 20-something single girl, raise Baptist but now go to a Messianic church and consider myself non-denominational protestant. Live in Colorado. :)

Got a couple prayer requests. My dad is going through chemo for a second time for his chronic lukemia. He had been in remission for over 4 years. Pleased to see that he is working to get his diabetes under control, and I think that will help the chemo be more effective and just be good for his overall health. (I think seeing his dad at Christmas helped kick his butt in gear, seeing how diabetes has effected my grandpa so much).

The other is for a job for myself. I am finishing my masters in just a couple weeks and do not yet have a job. I am hoping (for the reason mentioned above) to find something not too far away from parents, and preferably still here in CO if I can. I've got some savings, but I don't want to dry them all up to live off of while looking for a job, then I won't be able to one day put them towards buying my own land) . . . so I'm praying to get something by the beginning of July.

Thanks all, God Bless!

I'm just a 20-something girl making a home for me (and my dog) and waiting for the family to fill it!

Amy I will put you in my prayers for a job and so that you can stay in Colorado to help your parents.

I will put Scott in my prayers also that their marriage can get back together and be stronger than before.

I am asking for prayer for tomorrow for when I go to my briefing about getting help with my housing and that everything goes well and I am able to get the house I am in on the housing program..

Blessing everyone.

Cherime, did you know or do you know the lady who made soaps called Swan Mountain? I loved her soaps, and when I went back to get more, she was no longer in existence. Any word? I know at one time she had a child who was badly injured and she took time off. Thanks for any info.
