Hannah, thank you so much for your concern. I am a bit better. For some reason with lack of sleep, I was so depressed yesterday, I didn't care about anything literally. Haven't felt that way in a very long time. I knew if I didn't get prayer, I would spiral down. Tomorrow is the anniversary of my Dad's death, and this time of year...Thanksgiving and all is very hard for me and my mother. Dad died the day after Thanksgiving awhile back, while hunting. He had a massive heart attack & was lost in the snow. Although I know that Jesus was with him at his death, he died alone. That kills me, everytime I think of it. Anyway, this season will be a struggle. I love you too.

Claudia, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad, and how he passed away! The Lord was with him, and there is peace in knowing that. But also hard on you and your Mom knowing you were not beside him. I buried my Mom two days before Christmas in 1969, after a brief illness (she had a brain tumor). She also died alone in the hospital, as we didn't know her death was that close at hand, and she was in a coma, but it still hurts! I was living in Florida at the time, with two small girls (2 and 4), she was in Rhode Island with my Dad. Anyway the Lord and time does heal, but I don't think you ever stop missing them! She will always live in my heart and I see her in my girls and granddaughers, which is really a blessing! I'll be praying for you and your Mom. Hugs and prayers, Ruth

Ruth, thank you so much. Someday I know we will see our parents and share the glory of the Lord with them. Most of the time, all is well and I think of him fondly and what a good dad he was. I strive to remember his face, smile and his chuckle. He was a mechanic, so I remember his hands in how big they were and how lovingly he helped me. May you be blessed as you remember your Mom. It is just depression yesterday that came over me like a thick fog...couldn't get through it alone. Dan was at work & could not help. Thank you for your words and prayers.

Sweet Claudia, I am so sorry for your loss. I will be lifting you and your mom in prayer. I do know that we are never alone. Jesus is right there holding us in the palm of His hand. He loves us so much. Your dad will always be in your heart. Praying each day will be a tad easier.
hugs Tammy

Tammy, thank you so much. I wish we all could know each others parents. As youngsters, sometimes we don't show the respect or realize how wonderful and wise they are. My dad was not a man of many words, but I remember his hugs and pats of love. Bless you for bolstering my feelings and blessings on your family. I hope that we all get to share time with family this Thanksgiving season and may our appreciation for them grow.

Claudia - you both will be in my thoughts and prayers as well. God bless you!
CJ - I can tell you're feeling quite the end of your rope today, so I'm tying a HUGE knot at the end with prayer to help you hang in. God bless you, too!
Hugs to you both!

CJ..Praying for you. Caregiving is so rewarding and soooooo exhausting at the same time. Worse even when the heartstrings are tied to a relative. You will get through and what looks like a horrible situation can turn into a blessing. Your sister is Blessed to have you as exhausted as you are. God is supplying you strength and we are all lifting you up.
Claudia...Lifting you up also. You never have someone that loves you like a parent and that hurt at their passing shows what great love there was and is. The circumstances may be devastating but the memories are wonderful as you've expressed. He passed doing something he enjoyed and that's a Blessing. My father died on a ventilator. Try to look at it as a Blessing even though it's hard. God didn't let you or he go the hospital scene and you know what I mean. The hurt will always be there but God and the good Memories are bigger. Be at Peace.
Blessings and Peace, Darlene Sister 1922

CJ... you and I are at a deficit this Season, as are many many other of our sisters. I stand with you that with God supplying us with our needs and the prayers of our sisters...we ALL will survive. These sisters are blessings, and when they need prayer, we will be able to "stand in the gap" (Isa) for them. Bless you CJ. As Nini said...grab hold of that knot, or life saver or whatever God sends your way. I will pray today especially for all the sisters who have lost one or both of their parents.
