AND, so was "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" one of my mom's favorites! WOW!!!
They were both sung by a solist friend at her memorial service.

What a time to add a praise report. Great is Thy faithfullness. Tiffany had her surgery yesterday morning laproscopically sp?. The tumor weighed 6.5 lbs and the size of a football and within a few hours this 16 yr old was home in her bed eating a candy basket her mom got her! They had to remove a section of the fallopian tube and sent those tissues off for testing but were able to spare her ovaries. God is so good. Thank you for your prayers.

Hello Kristina,

I, too, am a Christian and proud of it. Every day I thank God for giving me my farm where I can enjoy the beauty of His creation --- the birds, pets, critters, flowers, bees, sounds, on and on it goes. I don't know how anyone can look on nature and not believe in God. One of my favorite places to pray is when I'm seated on a log beside the pond. It's wonderful when the Holy Spirit speaks to my heart.

One of my favorite Bible verses is Joshua 1:9 and, animal lover that I am, I try to live by Proverbs 12:10 (the first part!).

Thank you CeeJay! This has always been one of my favorite verses. I've meditated on it often as my NASB translates the last part of the first line as...."..whose trust is the Lord." In that translation, the words...Lord and Trust are synonymous. The Lord is Trust Himself. Thanks again for the verse.

Sharing today's devotional verse:
John 3:8 NIV
"The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

Dad always told me to trust my instincts....

Sorry not to elaborate on it, but I need to get my laundry on the line. I'm a bit behind in today's chores.

I need to make an appt. for one dd, who is having problems. A cat needs to see the vet due to ripping out his hair, and I think dh will need a doctor appt too.

Have a blessed day all.
I am standing on His word, "me and my house". I don't want to go into a lot of detail. I just want all healed and heart whole.
Kristina, praying for you.
I am continuing with my lay counselor training and hope to have all accomplished by the end of April. It has been a while since I have counseled and this refresher is a very good thing. I was a lot of places I should not have when younger and there is not a lot that can shock me. Looking forward to helping in the trenches.

Good Afternoon!
DD 15 yo has a low blood sugar situation - handling that. However, she caught a virus (most likely from the doctor's office) that caused her to run a 102° fever all weekend. She's doing a bit better today.

Hubby will soon be checked to see if he is a match to donate a kidney to one of his sisters.

Looks like another thunderstorm rolling in. I hope it doesn't cause us more flooding like last night.

...more later...

Have a blessed day!

Hi girls! Happy Tuesday!

'Hope you all are doing well.. I've been out of the loop again over the past week or two. Homeschooling this first year of high school is extremely demanding to say the least. I am very much looking forward to May - hopefully things will be more relaxed and less work work work! :)

Cherime & Kristina - you both are in my prayers!

I was watching an old episode of Mother Angelica last weekend. I just love her - she always makes me laugh and shares wisdom just like my Grandma used to do. SO comforting and warm! :) On this particular program, she was talking about the forgiveness of God. Without going into great detail, I thought I would share something that really struck me. Maybe you're like me? I sometimes struggle with self-forgiveness. I can always forgive others, and I know others are forgiven "once and for all" by God. But sometimes, the memories of past sins just pop up out of the blue and can really bother me. In my heart I know I'm forgiven, but sometimes my head has a tough time remembering that, and when that happens... ugh! Well, I'm sure you get the idea.

Well, dear Mother Angelica recounted the story of a time when she had the opportunity years ago to visit the ocean. A huge wave suddenly rose, and she was unable to escape it. The wave enveloped her legs and she was soaked. Knee deep in the water, she was struck in awe of the mighty ocean God created. She happened to look down and notice that a drop of water had landed on the back of her hand. She saw the vibrant rainbow colors swirling around in the droplet, and suddenly felt unworthy to hold onto such a beautiful thing; so she shook her hand, tossing it back into the tide. Then the Lord spoke to her. He showed her the vastness of the ocean. Then He asked her when she tossed the droplet back into the ocean, was she able to find it again? No matter how hard she looked, could she ever find it again? She responded no, that it was gone forever; nobody could find it in that vast expanse. The Lord then explained to her that this is what happens when He forgives our sins. Just like that little drop of water, it's as if He washes our sins away with the tide, and they are gone forever, lost in the vastness of the sea. She was profoundly moved by that revelation. I was, too. When He forgives us, we are not to hold onto our sins/guilt. They don't belong to us anymore - He takes them away, and we need to trust Him that they are gone forever. Once He has forgiven and cleansed us, we can begin anew!

Later on, I was watching another program - Women of Grace - where they, too, discussed forgiveness. They were talking about how sometimes it's just so hard to "let go" of what we have done, even when we know God has forgiven us. The priest said we must remember that when those memories come flooding in, we shouldn't let evil take a foothold, confusing, condemning and torturing our minds and spirits. He suggested rather we look at this as an opportunity to rejoice in the Lord, and to thank Him for saving us. The priest said at those "dark moments" we must remember that He forgave us, that it's "over" and gone - evil cannot have its way with us anymore. We should instead reflect on how different we are today than we were back then; we should celebrate the "new" creation we have become in Christ vs. the wretched former self we once were. We are now free and no longer under the weight of those sins. In His profound love for us and in His tender mercy, He has forgiven us and set us free to be who we are meant to be - His beloved children! When He forgives us, He forgives us completely! We are transformed and made whole, shiny and new! We can now go forth and live our life freely, abundantly and joyfully in Him! Halleliujah!

Romans 8:1 says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Now THAT is something to celebrate, isn't it!? AMEN!

May we always remember to "let go and let God" when it comes to His forgiveness of our sins! As we read in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

May we always dance in His light and revel in the magnificent waves of His love, mercy and forgiveness that wash over us!

Have a blessed, blessed day, girls! Love and hugs to all!

Wow ladies! Your ability to be used of God and bless?! Well, the blessings abound!

I have been out of the loop for awhile, family, health issues, etc.

Tonight, been struggling with 'just life and mistakes made'. Came on and here's the topic of learning to forgive ourselves!
I love the ocean and that illustration is just beautiful!!
I will now pray and be more thankful and try to remember to accept His forgiveness and grace in a more fuller way for myself!

I read also in one of my daily email devotionals....... That when Satan, as he always does, throws our mistakes at us with all his got? To just simply remind ourselves the word 'grace' each and every time, even repeatedly if so needed. It smacks the ol devil back....but most importantly reminds ourselves more and more that HIS grace and forgiveness is always there and taken care of on the Cross!

Ladies, thank you so much for all that each of you bring and share!

Have a good nite!
Farmgirl hugs,
Linda

Nini, Linda, good words.
At the moment I am struggling with a family situation where someone want a member of the family, not married girlfriend of DS, to publicly in front of the family apologize for something that was not even done to them. This person refuses to allow the GF to even attend gatherings at their house. The feeling is that they must ask for forgiveness before being forgiven. I am now in the dog house for pointing out that Jesus did not forgive just the thief or John or his mother when on that cross, he asked for all to be forgiven. Praying that the hard heart will be softened.

My favorite song right now is: Wes Hampton singing Little Is Much!

Little Is Much

In the harvest field now ripened
There's a work for all to do
Hark! the voice of God is calling
To the harvest calling you
Chorus
Little is much when God is in it
Labor not for wealth or fame
There's a crown and you can win it
If you go in Jesus' Name

In the mad rush of the broad way
In the hurry and the strife
Tell of Jesus' love and mercy
Give to them the Word of Life

Does the place you're called to labor
Seem too small and little known
It is great if God is in it
And He'll not forget his own

Little is much when GOD is in it
Labor not for wealth or fame
There's a crown and you can win it
If you'll go in Jesus' name

Are you laid aside from service
Body worn from toil and care
You can still be in the battle
In the sacred place of prayer

When the conflict here is ended
And our race onearth is run
He will say, if we are faithful
"Welcome home, My Child well done

Chorus

God is the painter, he paints the picture. And his son builds it, for he is the Master Carpenter!

Thanks Marlene - love the words to that, but have not heard it before.

Looks like the "flood" is over now, but the yard needs cleaned up from farm debris (that came over the road from the field). I wish I could buy that lot - I'll be praying for more land. We do need to harvest our own hay.

Daily devotions on the porch are so nice now. I really missed that time out there all winter.

I'll be taking my rice pack out to the porch this morning. I worked myself hard today in the gym. My weight is not going down, but my inches are coming off.

Have a blessed day.

Thanks Marlee,
I will check You Tube later today.

Weather is a scorcher again. Crazy, crazy, crazy. It's March.

I finally got my new devotional ordered. I'll let you know how I like it when I get it.

I'm now getting my e-mail devotional also.

Dh and I would love travel prayers for this coming weekend. We are going to "disconnect to reconnect" and talk. We may take bikes. I keep checking the weather and they are calling for thunderstorms, but those could pass or move in later, after the weekend too.

Guess what? My "rock n' roll" son, has been playing a CD that is a Christian group - first time for this to happen (other than the girls playing Toby Mac). Huge happy moment for me.

Have a blessed weekend!

Hi Everyone...I needed your shared words on "Self-forgiveness" today.

I am struggling with the need to forgive myself for something I had little to no
control over (which is most of life right? LOL)...but It is so hard because it is
so fresh and raw.

blessings,
