Yummy Yummy Cabbage Burgers:

Start homemade bread. During rising of bread do the following:

In a LARGE skillet, fry a couple pounds of hamburger. Add in diced onions, celary, and carrots and white/green cabbage. Season to taste. Watch the salt!

Roll out bread dough as thin as you can get it. Use cereal bowl as guide. Cut about 1/2 inch out from bowl rim. Use dough circle to make a "lid" on the bowl.

Drain meat mix.

Spoon meat mix onto dough "lid". pinch the dough around the meat mix until you have a round roll with the meat mix completly encapsulated. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake until bread is golden brown.

Enjoy!!

Kind of but Pasties usually have more of a pastry crust and often have potatoes in them.

We freeze them all the time and they do beautifully. You can either set them on the counter to defrost or microwave them for a couple minutes. Yummy!

Those sound really good! What kind of bread recipe do you use? Like a pastry dough? or just plain homemade bread?
