okay.
Most of yawl know we built and moved into our new home a year ago last September.
Okay a wee problem with hubby. ( well I have more ; but I won't go into them now ! Ha)
It has to do with hair ;
My master bath. as I said I get the Master bedroom and bath to myself; as we sleep in separate bedrooms
I also use it for sewing etc.
anyways here's the problem with the hair ( my hair)
I wash my hair in the shower.
Usually at the sink ; I will use mousse on my hair ( I don't know what I would do with out it; because my hair is baby fine.)
I usually have short layered hair.
the problem is ,
The sink and hair getting clogged in the pee trap( is that the right term?lol)
I am sure yawl know what I mean.
Well , Hubby says ,
"My hair is clogging it up and when I brush my teeth it is sticky therefore the hair gets stuck in the stuff and then it is a mess !"
Well, girls; what is a person suppose to do????
I have a little table ( table mate from QVC, use to be a QVC Queen ; now ; No money due to the house payment, lol)
I use this as my dressing table.
I have a really cute mirror I brought on line with beautiful pink roses ( what else ha) around it
I sit at this table and blow dry my hair. I have a light above the mirror and a switch for my hairdyer
then
I get up and go to the sink and brush my hair after I get dressed and put hair spray( which could be a problem there too)
Okay,
any Ideas Help
I am starting to brush my hair and spray at the dressing table now.
Hubby, isn't saying how much hair is in his and son's bathroom "Pee Trap"!!
By the way hubby has been losing his hair for years now.
I am sinsetive enough not to say anything about it.
Okay, Need ideas. HELP !! LOL hugs sheila

Sheila,
The last time the drain in the shower stoppped up and hubby had to clean it out I saw what came out and boy was it yucky. My daughter and I both have long hair and that was the problem. Now I have a small mesh strainer that fits in the drain. Its very good to catch my hair after shampooing. I clean it everytime I shower, very easy at it just lays in the drain. If it only a few of my hairs it looks like a lot of hair as its so long. I thought of getting another for the sink but don't have as much problem there. I think I got it at the dollar store, it really helps.

Sheila,

as Kathy said, they make sink strainers to catch hair and they work really well. I shed a massive amount of hair daily, so I don't do my hair at the sink; I also do mine at a dresser (of course, the hair gets everywhere, but I blow off the dresser with a blowdryer and then vacuum up the hair).

Anyway, that will keep the hair from clogging the P-trap and also from backing up your shower plumbing.

Exactly what the gals are saying- We had to do that at my house growing up because there were 5 women in the house with medium to long hair! And only using 2 bathrooms!
