Blocks will be 121/2 inches finished size.
Any type block: Embroidered, pieced,appliqued etc.Sorry none painted.
Make 12 blocks. Keep 1. Send me 11.
Please use quality fabric.
Enclose a SASE for the return of your blocks.
All blocks mailed to me by 12/1
Returned to you ASAP after I receive the blocks.

Smf please also clarify for me the finished size - is the 12 1/2 inches to include the 1/4" seam allowance or should we add the seam allowance to make the blocks 13"? Yeah...Toni, Barbara and Lani I have you down.
The finished size is 12 1/2 inches, which includes the seam allowance. The blocks can be any christmas fabric or color that you choose. Any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

I would love to do this....I am recovering from surgery, but think I can complete them in time. I have been working on many Xmas presents while I am not able to do anything physical.

Thank you, Darlene--without prayers, I would not be here, but in heaven--guess that means my work here is NOT done?
I had severe post-surgical complications--FOUR of them, and was not expected to live. Then, just as I was beginning to recover somewhat, another surgery! That really knocked my body for a loop...
I have "lost" the whole summer--for many weeks, I could not do anything. It is very humbling to not even be able to walk across the house because you are too weak. It was a great day when I could put my own socks on, and another when I could fix breakfast!!
Now I am trying to get the house put back together again. when I got sick, I was on a cleaning frenzy--cleaning out closets and shelves and drawers---and things got left in a mess. I have worked on my sewing room for the last two weeks---work ten minutes, and rest 30! I am trying to get all the fabric and craft items sorted into totes and drawers so I can actually find things.
My husband got to learn how much work canning really is, as we did over 200 jars of apples and pears. Maybe he will appreciate me more now :>) ?
I am going to get together with 3 others today to tie a quilt for a mentally challenged lady who attends our church. It is great to be able to do something again!

Linda...Glad to have you. I know what you mean...There's just something about Christmas that gets all the creative juices flowing!
We're on our way girls! Now we're 10. Hurry, hurry only 2 spots left!
Oh Mary, Bless your heart. I've been there. One time I was in the hospital 18 days when my children were young. I had a previous surgery 4 months before that. It took me a long time to feel better. Men do need a wake up call to see all we do. Just chill out and don't be a hero and rush your recovery. As a nurse I never heeded this advice myself. Went back to work 5 weeks after back surgery and way too soon after another ordeal. God is Good though isn't He? All the time! Rest 30 and work 10 just as you're doing! Continuing to pray for your recovery.

I think that's a great idea. So anyone that wants to please enclose your pattern you are using for your block. Also a picture of yourself if you like. Any other ideas...just ask.
