Too bad the leather handles are gone!---I would venture to guess late 30's to mid 40's. Nice monogram!
I have quite a collection of small to mid-size suitcases that I stack and use as end tables and storage cases for my antique linens and paper ephemera. A few years ago I gave my good friend Kathy a re-vamped train case full of my handcrafted products complete with a customized baggage address label-Vintage suitcases are so much fun to play with!

My guess would be 50s . . kind of predecessor to the ones I received in the mid-60s as a high school graduation gift from my parents (still have the big one) CJ

These look like one my Dad had. He's now 84 so I'm agreeing with the '40-50's. He probably would have gotten it right before he went to college, that would have been in the mid to late 40's. They are nice looking suitcases. I have a friend who has a stack of 3 graduating sizes that she uses as an end table in her living room. Love the look.
I looked up the addresses on Google Earth, the from address (E. Heath) is now a cute little store called Art World in Forrest Hills NY & the to address (Ethel Wittaker) is near by and is now a restaurant called the Mad Greek
I'm thinking I might list these on my etsy, and maybe email the cute little store, from the photos of the store, these suitcases look like something they might want.
