The Song & Season Spinnin Henhouse is in desperate need of hens who sing,saw fiddles,pick guitars,banjos,mandolins,toot tubas or any other instrument & live the farm/cowgirl lifestyle. Would like to get a global group that is active in exposing youngsters to making their own music,promoting the arts in their schools,in addition to sharing how to grow their own veggies & take an interest in the land they play on.

I'll join! My kids are 14 & 16 and we have a family bluegrass band. We're not great, but it keeps the kids involved. They and I take lessons with a wonderful group in our town called Project String Power. Lots of kids being taught & we're always recruiting more. Our amateur orchestra plays concerts in many places.

I just found this post! (I don't do forums well...I am barely passing at Facebook and while I started a blog I am not much into it...)
But having subscribed to your blog, I am bummed to find the one farmgirl in my area is planning on vacating!
Even though we don't actually play any instruments per se at the mo (I used to play guitar but with kids I find I have no time...my oldest is a student at Music Institute of Los Angeles though! It got featured on a Visiting episode with Huell Howser!), I hope we can try to get together and get to know each other some before you scoot off to lands too hot for me!
