CAROLE MENSER

I just opened your package. I'm jumping up & down with glee!!!
That apron is soo darn cute and such fine seamstress work. I am an avid bird watcher, the vintage fabric is great and what a super idea to build in a hand wipe rag! I'm wearing it now -- sooo perfect in my kitchen (red, yellow & sage green) I am elated!!!"
As if the apron wasn't enough, you add a plaque!! "LOVE is patient, kind and never fails." You are living proof that is true.
My heart is full of gratitude . . . you have gone over and above what was expected.
Thanks, Thanks & Every Thanks (Shakespeare)

Anna -- I love Shakespeare and the quote! :-) The whole thing must've been a 'God thing'. Please wear that apron in good health. It is special ... and so are you.

Anna, your apron sounds adorable and would LOVE to see a shot as I've often thought of adding a hand towel to mine, great idea! I'm so happy a apron has brought you so much joy!

I'm starting the apron for Lorrae. Waiting for an email to know if ya want full or half apron. I like the fabric. It's fun!

Deborah,

Glad you like it. I got mine today and it is great. Thanks for the cookbook and doily too. I couldn't resist the potholders. The recipes were just too pretty to throw away!

How is everyone doing with their sewing and swapping? Just a few more days to get them in the mail. If you need more time, please contact your partner and let her know. If you've already gotten your new apron, please share with us. Happy sewing!

Oh Anna -- My special apron arrived today and I cried when I took it out of the package. Not only is it so beautiful and you did a fabulous job, but it totally reminds me of my grandmother who was the favorite person in my life. She always wore this style of apron and her favorite color was pink. How did you know??? I remember so often seeing in her home fabric similar to this blue trim pattern with all the beautiful flowers. It is totally her and now I have to go grab a Kleenex 'cause I'm tearing up again. It couldn't be more perfect!!! I really can't thank you enough or express how special and precious this apron is to me. We were just meant to be swap partners on this one, weren't we? To say I love it would simply be an understatement. May you have Happy & Peaceful Fall Days ... Love, Carole

Wow Carole, you almost had me in tears! I wish we could see it. Isn't it something how a plain little apron can bring back such fond memories, and now you have something to pass down too! Good job Anna! I hope to hear more tender stories as your aprons arrive!

That apron is called a "clothespin" apron. The big pocket can hold all the pins while ya are outside at the clothsline. The pattern is from Europe.
