I live in Central Indiana and don't have a great way to transport then except for my Ford Focus but I really need some goats to deal wit th evergrowth on my 20 acres. I'll work with you to barter whatever I can to get some goats. Thanks

Try you local humane society, sometimes they will work a deal with you if you can provide animals a good home in return for one adoption fee instead of one for each animal.

Thanks, ladies, for your help. I found two pygmy does on craigslist and am very happy with them. They seems a bit skittish but I just go and sit quietly with them several times a day and I know they will come around. I love to hear the soft sounds they make in the pasture.

Happy you found some little goats. I'm so glad you got 2 so they can have a buddy. If you are able to pick up some horse conditioner with molasses in and give them a little bit each day they will bond to you quickly. Ours have always loved a graham cracker now and then too. We had a nanny goat that lived to be 18 years old and graham crackers were her all time favorite treat. When I see a graham cracker now it will always remind me of her and I miss her. Have fun being a goat owner.
