Well, my dehydrator bit the dust. Just wondering if anyone dries food in their oven and how do you do it? What temp, how long, etc?
Thanks \Michele

I know my sister has done it but not sure the details. Probably would be able to find information on line for details.

Give thanks to yourself everyday for all the wonderful things you do!

My dehyrdator is still in the mess of moving, so I tried doing some stuff in the oven. Some things worked okay, but some things got overdone. I set the oven on the lowest temp it has (mine was about 170) and put a towel in the door to prop it open a smidge. My blueberried took about 6 hours. Not my favorite batch, but it worked.

I bought a book on drying food and for the oven it says 115 degrees for 6-8 for some foods, it depends on what it is. If you want to tell me I'll look it up for you in my book.
