Does anyone have a cookie recipe made from cake mix. Someone at work made these a few weeks ago and I cant get in touch with them.

The recipe I use is:
1 box of cake mix
1/3 cup of oil
2 eggs
Mix all together. Roll in balls in flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. baker at 375 for 6 to 8 minutes.
I used to LOVE the cherry chip cake mix for these, but I don't think they make it anymore. :( |

Just read this, better late than never, when I do cookies that way, if using a white cake mix, use choc. chips, if I use a choc. mix, use white choc. chips. My best buddy only does chocolate chip cookies this way and they are yummy!!

I got this recipe from one of my clients. Its yummy. We call them jello Christmas cookies, but they are good anytime. We particularly like lime and strawberry.
Jello Christmas Cookies
1 box yellow cake mix(the ones with pudding also work) ** I've used
white cake mix and it works too.
1 3oz. pkg. red or green jello
1 egg beaten
2/3 c. cooking oil
colored sugar if desired
Mix all ingredients. Mold into balls with hands. Flatten with fork. Add
colored sugar.
Bake on a greased cookie sheet 8 to 10 minutes**(I've sometimes added a
minute or two to cook time,see how they turn out )
at 350 degrees. Makes 6 dozen

I used the cake mix/cookie recipe last year and entered them in the county fair. I used a strawberry cake mix and after I rolled the little balls and put them on the cookie sheet, I made an indention in the cookie with my finger and filled the hole with strawberry jam. They won a blue ribbon and sold for $30 at the fair bake sale.

If you are worried about the fat content in the oil use applesauce instead. I buy applesauce in those single serving four-pack containers and use one of those in place of the oil.
1 box of cake mix
1 container of applesauce
2 eggs
O use yellow cake mix add 3/4 flaked or shredded coconut for coconut cookies

I will have to try using applesauce!
Lemon cake mix makes amazing ones of these too. I put a little lemon glaze on top when they are cooled.

I have been making cake mix cookies for years and I sometimes use applesauce for the oil. My oldest daughter once made the cookies for a presentation she had to do for school. She had to tell how to do something. You can use almost any flavor of cake to make cookies. I once tried making them with a mix that came in a bag but that didn't work as well because there wasn't as much mix. If the dough comes out very sticky I put it in the refrigerator for about an hour. I, also, don't always flatten them.

Hi all...
I just made the cake mix cookies.
I used a Spice cake mix (got it for $1.00- Betty Crocker mixes were 10 for $10!)
I used a single serve cup of Motts Peach apple sauce I had in fridge.
I used 2 eggs (eggs are on special for $0.79 at Tops)
I used spice cake because it is my daughter's fav. and I was making them for her college care package.
My daughter loves Whoopie Pies (she gets them only when we go to camp in Mass. - we can't find good ones around her)
I made large cake cookies - had to leave them in for about 9-10 min. and then I used Cream Cheese Frosting for the middle. Put two together and made her a yummy surprise!!!Spice Cake/Cream Cheese Whoopie Pies!!!

The one I have is called the twosies recipe...haha
Two boxes of cake mix, two eggs, two tbsp oil and 2 tbsp water...
You stir it all together really well and it really does make a simple dough, and pretty good cookies! 350 for 15 minutes I think.

The Spice cake Whoopie pies were a hit! My daughter shared them at school and I have recieved many thank you's... I am going to make triple Chocolate ones next!

My little sister would always make these! She used devil's food cake mix and would bake little bitty cookies with chocolate or peanutbutter chips in them. Sooo good! She would only bake them for 10-12 minutes so they would stay soft. In fact, they were not very good straight out of the oven - kinda gooey. But when they cooled they were chewy and perfect. I miss them! I'll have to make some again soon...

Here is one I came across and like, they are rich but good.
1 box butter recipe cake mix
1 box instant butterscotch pudding
1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. oil
1 egg
Mix and shape into balls and flatten with the bottom of a glass.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 for 10 to 15 minutes or done. I like them a when they are a little underbaked.

Ann - thank you for posting your recipe today, but I should have checked it earlier! Lesson learned - always check the Farmgirl Connection first!! I remembered there was a posting string about cake mix cookies, but instead I turned to another website. I made the recipe exactly as specified but the cookies came out so crumbly that I now have a bag of crumbs rather than a plate of cookies. Oh well, not one to throw anything away - I told my husband we would use the crumbs on ice cream.
