Hi farmgirls! I posted this in the Nifty Thrifty section under repurposing denim, but there was no response. Back in March or April, I made some dog chew toys out of denim pants legs. I was wondering if anyone else had any old jeans they could mail me so I could make more toys for the animal shelter here. If you do, please email me! Thanks! God's Blessings, Megan aka Loretta Rae

Megan thats a nice thing to do for the shelter! Do you have thrift stores or garage sales in your area? Around here they put them on sale sometimes and they're very cheap. Good luck Debbie

What a great idea Megan! Since I am volunteering at the animal shelter I think it would be a great idea to make some toys for the animals I take care of. :) Thanks for the great idea! Hugs, Channah

I have gone into my Thrift store & asked them what they do with the pairs they can't sell. They throw them away! I asked if I could have some to make rugs with & they gave me 2 big bags full! It never hurts to ask! The worst they can do is say no but mine didn't-now they have new life!!!

I have some too. Send my your addy. You can't have them all, I reuse the material too. I also make toys for my dogs. How funny! I made bean bags for a game my Polish friends call Polish horseshoes yesterday and made bags to hold them from a pair of jeans.
