Keep signing up girls...sign up until the end of July! We looked at some land yesterday. It is almost 13 acres with a beautiful, amazing and well built barn on it! It is up in the Hixton, WI area. That is the same area that my DH's parents grew up so we went and looked at their childhood farms while we were there. His Mom's family farm is still there, but his Dad's family farm has been altered and the barn is torn down. I am really excited, we are putting in an offer.

Seems like everyone is having a great month! I've enjoyed becoming a part of this site, we've opened our hearts to a horse that was in desperate need of rescuing, our eldest son became a teenager, and so many other things, but best of all because I wouldn't be where I am today, I have celebrated my 22nd year of marriage to my soul mate, Bill.

Smiling & Waving,

Diane and All You Farm Girls...

Do you know what has been the absolutely best thing about my month?
Each and everyone of you! My husband went back to work full time for our son a few months ago and I thought to myself, "Oh, my goodness what am I going to do with my days?" For 7 years my hubby and I have spent every single day together. He is my most beloved and cherished best friend. Even my son who hired his dad was concerned for me, mainly because I am out in a rural area all by myself all day without transportation to go anywhere. Anyway, now every single day I have you wonderful women to visit with, glean from, laugh with, cry with, pray for, rejoice with, to encourage and be encouraged by. I feel so blessed and not one bit lonely. And from the bottom of my heart all I can say (and it is so little) is Thank You For Being A Huge part of each and every one of my days. You Have Truly Blessed me!

Hugs & Loves,
~peggy

The best thing that happened to me this month is vacationing with all of my in-laws (my dh's parents and siblings and their families) in South Dakota. We met there and spent a week together. I had so much fun seeing everyone again and touring that beautiful state.

Thanks so much for helping me to see the positive side of July!

What a great month you've had, Diane...and how great to hear what other people have been doing as well! It sure has been a blessed month :)

I would say the best thing about this month was that my husband and I took on the project of building loft bed for the boys and we finally finished them! It was great to see everyone involved in the project, the boys picking out paint and stain and helping to design their beds. Now that everything is done, its been nice to see their space organized and more roomy that it was before. We also were able to repurpose some shelving and other items to move into the basement where the boys have school. So it was a great AWESOME thing all around!!

My birthday was July 9th, I am now an official senior citizen at 55. Had family in from St. Louis, my son home from Denver and my husband home with a few days off from his job. So I was truly blessed to have all the family with me to help me celebrate. Happy Birthday to all our July Farm Girls.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEB! 55 yrs young! Just a couple years younger than me. I am hoping
you are feeling good about your birthday! After turning 50 for me...I swear everything
went down-hill rapidly...but each year has gotten easier. I still feel young at heart
but my body is betraying me. LOL

There are things happening in JULY! Thank you Diane for your July Farmgirl of the month giveaway! My July has a buzz in my four newly started beehives! The colonies are growing and honey overflowing. Our blackberries are so plentiful -they have brought in birds for us to watch besides suppling berries for jelly for the entire family. July brought a stray cockatiel to me- flew into my niece's pool. We named him "Sunny". This is the second cockatiel that we have taken on as a stray!!! I also had my 31st wedding anniversary on July 21st!Life is good!

Congrats Jessie on the new house! We bought one in May. What a mess that is!

Praise and thanks for Shelby's daughter being ok. I don't know what I would do if my kids weren't disgustingly healthy.

My July has been lovely. First, my birthday is the 2nd. My daughter and I went to the movies and sat in the choice seats. I got new shelves for my room to put my sewing stuff on. We finally got a riding lawn mower. We have been mowing 1 1/2 acres with a push mower! My in-laws are up from Florida. I love my mother in law. She is who I want to be when I grow up. LOL Lastly, my daughter is finally getting used to not being right in the neighborhood with her friends. We lived in a trailer park for 12 years until we could afford a house. All she had to do was walk down the street to visit her friends. Now she has to drive a ways.

Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.

July has been wonderful. I finally joined all of you on this forum, and my family is all back living together again. My husband was deployed to Afghanistan and returned in April, but had to stay in North Carolina until this month. Now we are in the same house again and have a feeling of normalcy again.

Is your husband a sailor? I see you live at Great Lakes. My hubby was a sailor. 14 years. Gunners Mate on the USS Oklahoma City. A long time ago. He got out in 91. Wishes he didn't. They tried to recall him for Operation Desert Storm, but the paperwork never caught up to him.

Bump. I changed the prize. I found the coolest yarn on clearance. It is this chocolate slightly fuzzy woven with a satin ribbon. I am almost done making a summer triangle shawl out of it. It is beautiful and it is the Prize. I will post a photo when I draw the winner.
