This northern Minnesota girl would like to give it a whirl. Hope you can match me with my first penpal. I'm 55, love to putter in my flower gardens after work in the summer. I can't get enough of being in the great outdoors. I am also a volunteer Master Gardener, and enjoy reading, crafting, picking blueberries out in the patch, and baking cookies with my granddaughters!

DH and I retired out here from the rat race of the Twin Cities and have loved every minute of it (except this winter, been really hard where we live in the country/top of a mountain ridge). When did you leave the beautiful Black Hills? We're finding more and more retirees out here just like us. Do you think you'll ever come back to live? We once stayed in Gulf Shores, AL for a few days on our way down to FL. Beautiful area. |

Annie, yes I hope to get a small cabin in the hills someday and maybe spend summers there. I don't do well with the cold anymore which is one of the reasons I moved (moved in 2006). I'm pretty sure my son will move back at some point. He grew up there and loves it.

I don't know if this is a silly question or not (I have not used the forums much and am a newbie). I can't find my assigned pen-pal in the members section so I can't contact her by email to get her address.
