I would just love to have a "hand written" penpal in or near Knoxville Tenn, I love to write letters and be old fashioned with snail mail. I'm 42, a mother of 5 sons including 2 sets of twins...my first son is 19 in college in Tenn, twins 15 and twins 7. I live in the deep country in Ohio where we farm beef, raise chickens for eggs, my stress relief (my Morgan horse) and a wonderful, loving husband. An over age 60 farmgirl would be great...someone that has "been there and done that" to send me tips on raising this brood! Canning, gardening and all in between. All my best and hope I find a new country farmgirl friend

You know what excites me about this? It's that people have gotten away from handwritten letters - they've really gone by the wayside since email and cell phones. Over the years I've seen some absolutely gorgeous cards or stationary that I'd LOVE to use - but have no use for them because I have no one to use them for..........but now I do!
And it's so exciting to run out to the mailbox to see a letter or card from someone - it's such a thrill! Am I old fashioned?
Anyhoot, njaw09 I received your cute Christmas card and will squirt off a letter/card to you soon.

I'd like to sign up to get a penpal too. I think it's sad how letter writing has seemed to fade away, and this would give me a good reason to write. :)
