I am making lemon balm infused olive oil and I wonder if any of you have tips for making and using such a thing. I love the idea of bottling the garden and lemon balm is so soothing for headaches, fever, etc.

I hope someone has an answer to this as well. I have tons of lemon balm and would like to use it as a body oil.

I either put the herbs in the oil and let it steep for several weeks or gently "cook" it in. Use herbal infused oil for making salves and use them in oil form also.

Do what you love, love what you do.

What kind of oil would be the best for body oil? I have used almond oil in the past. Is there much difference in quality/purity?

coconut oil is nice for body oil, so is a mix with almond and jojoba oils.

I am trying olive oil...I put 3/4 of a cup chopped lemon balm and just over a cup of oil. The instructions I have say to let it sit in the sun for 10 days and then strain using cheese cloth.

Olive oil is rather heavy for a body oil. I prefer almond, coconut, or jojoba as they are lighter. I know there are other lighter oil that work also... but I am not sure what all they are.

Do what you love, love what you do.
