I recently became the Chaplain of the American Legion in my town and I accepted the position with honor.
I have never had trouble praying for anyone who wants or needed prayers. I do it with glad heart. So it easy for me to pray.. except when it comes to me needing a prayer.

So, my friends and sisters... I need a prayer.
I saw my Doctor today.... I have been seeing him a bit more often that I care to. We have been trying to "tweak", or fine tune me.. this getting older stuff and after surgery some time back.... has me all out of whack.... well, I have been complaining of this piercing headaches for few years... really didn't think about it till my Doc (good thang he is adorable!) said that he is concerned about those head aches and wishes for me to get a C-scan of my head.
I shouldn't worry... but the appointment won't be for three weeks... the dragging of time is gonna get to me.
So... please pray for me, send good vibe.. whatever spiritual things that you do in your own way.... that whatever this is , that it is a easy fix and not a big deal.. but if it something... that this is truly something that I CAN handle......

Karrieann, I know how that is to not be able to ask for prayer for yourself. Me too. But you have a need and coming here will let others know and we can all pray for you. You are important and are in need. So I will start praying for you to get through these next few weeks with no headaches. And that the doctor will be able to see if there is a problem and that it is fixable. And that you will not worry! That is the worst thing you can do. I sure wish your appointment was tomorrow. But sometimes we just have to wait. I think if it were an emergency he would have gotten you in sooner.
So take a few deep breathes and relax. Sending some hugs and love your way tonight.

Karrieann...first of all...I would like you to know that, according to my 3 year old son, you sang that song all wrong. He insists, although I try to correct him each time, (and he sings it all the time as it's one of his favorites) that, "No Mom, it goes, 'It's me, it's me, it's me, Oh Lord, standin' in the need of bread'...that's how it goes, Mom." He even sang it the other day while we were kneading bread together LOL!
I'm so sorry you've been bothered by awful headaches :( I'm glad you've asked for prayer :) And I'm glad that we can gather around you and lift our sister up to the Good Father who heals us!
Father, I lift Karrieann, your humble servant, up before You tonight and ask that Your strong hands will hold her and give her peace as she waits to have the CAT scan. I pray that You will take away all fear and help her to trust in Your faithfulness that she knows so well. I also pray for a good report from the CAT scan. I pray that they won't find anything harmful and that the doctors will be able to suggest something safe that will help to get rid of these painful headaches that she is having. You created Karrieann and we know that You know her better than anyone, inside and out. You know exactly what is going on and I pray that You will give the doctors wisdom as they seek an answer. Thank you, Lord, for our sweet sister who gives and rarely asks for anything in return. We ask that you will hear her prayers and ours today! In Jesus' name, amen!

Karrieann, my prayers seem so simple compared to Siobhan's and yours. I just pray that you find an answer to your pain and that the Lord and the Farmgirl Sisters give you comfort while you wait.

Karrieann, I have never had a severe headache problem, but I have friends that are afflicted with migraines, so I know what their suffering is all about. Please be aware that I will send up prayers for you to have a good result from your C-scan. Headaches are miserable from what I have seen, plus they are debilitating.

Maybe one of the reasons we stand in need of prayer is because we don't know what to ask for. I will pray that the headaches subside and that God takes your worry and gently blows it away.

Karrieann, You are in my prayers! As I was praying with Siobhan for you, (reading her sweet prayer) tears began to flow. There is so much power in prayer and your sisters are praying for you. Praying for peace and healing.
Do you have a date for the CT? Where will you have it done?

..the c-scan will be done on the 27th at the same building where my Doc is.... then I see him the next day with the result.

Karrieann,
I hope you are doing well. Praying that you will be able to find out the cause of these headaches. It isn't so much what we can handle as much as Him not giving us more than He can handle. I believe His desire is not for us to handle things alone but to go to Him and let Him do the work and show Himself mighty on our behalf.
I pray God will give you His peace and that you will be able to lean on Him wholly through out. He is ever faithful and it is his desire to give us His best always.
Praying that time will seem to go quickly for you. Thank you for sharing the date so that we can be in prayer for you during that time too. There is such power in prayer and these are the thngs that draw us closer to Him where we need to be.
When you feel nervous or anything just sing that song and know that we are all praying for you. God will use you and this to reach others for His kingdom. He is the Great physician and we are wonderfully and made by Him.

..well, I am back from my appointment. I passed on the Ct-scan, no abnormalities or anything out of ordinary. So, we back still at square one in regards to what is bringing on the headaches. I will be trying a prescription that is suppose to inhibit the headaches. I am annoyed with the headaches but VERY relieved with the ct-scan result. So.. the prayers have been answered. I do thank each and every one of you for your support and prayers.
