Hi Betsy! Today we are going to a friends house who always have a really big 3rd of July party, and then tomorrow we are going with some friends up to Fort Lewis to see the fireworks there on base.
How about you? Anything special?

My husband and son are at the fireworks stand right now. Fireworks make me nervous, but the "boys" seems to love them! My oldest son and his fiance will be over on Monday so I will be on a cooking spree!
I'm thankful we live in a free country and will remember all those that have gone before to make it possible.

Happy 4th to everyone!!! So many fun activities going on!! Our community does Mardi Gras with parades, costume shows, ethnic food, Saturday in the Park with tons of people and lots of kids activities, food and craft vendors and music, music music....Santana is playing tonight at our huge Band Shelter!! My brother and wife have a huge celebration, but they're 5 hours away, so are skipping this year. Hugs and Smiles, Lin

Craig Ferguson said last night that the Fourth of July was like St. Patrick's Day...only with explosives! I thought that was funny.
We gained our independance from the British in 1776 and here it is 234 years later and we still need to get our independance back from them again....BP (British Petroleum)...sigh....
