I found a virtual tour of the Sistine Chapel! Amazing! If you go to www.vatican.va and click on basillicas and chapels then you can look at all their virtual tours!
I get my need for Paris and the rest of France fulfilled by reading every book set there I can get my hands on and by watching PBS, I will have to check out the vatican website though! Amy Grace

Alee - having been in Rome a few years back the virtual tour is ultra amazing! I can hear the voices, smell the smells :-) and feel the summer heat all while staring at the amazing paintings and wondering all over again just how it was done...one brush stroke at a time. Thanks for taking me back to a city and a place I dearly love. I will have to try and find the virtual tour of Assisi - I travel back in my mind to that city alot too. The chapel ceiling is an AMAZING blue that makes you happy and calm and loved - yes, loved. Thanks again Alee :-)

So glad to trigger such wonderful memories, Karen!! I want to go so bad!
I want to go to the Vatican! One of my best friends is on his honeymoon right now in Jerusalam. I cant wait to see the pics. He brought be sand for my sands of the world collection from St Peters.
We got to live in Italy for 1 1/2 years (Livorno a little port town 15 minutes south of Pisa) but didn't make it to Rome before we got reassigned to Germany. I loved being there and hope to go back when my little boy gets a bit bigger.
