Comfrey is my favorite healing herb. It's not used for cooking.... but it is always the first herb I think of when I think of herbs! If I had to choose cooking... I would probably go with garlic. Then... too many choices. =)

Do what you love, love what you do.

Is chocolate an herb? That's what I would want if I were stranded on a Deserted island. Lots of chocolate. Lots of brownies.
However, if it has to be a true herb, I guess rosemary. LOL

haha@ Marly. With all that chocolate, sounds like you should be on a 'desserted' island! I too would have to choose basil. Although it's not a tea making herb, it's so versatile. Two of my favs, other than pesto, are a skillet chicken dish w/ basil, honey, balsamic vinegar & pine nuts all cooked together. The other is fresh chopped tomatoes, fresh chopped basil, olive oil, lemon juice & feta cheese (optional) ...like a salad. mmmmm!

Lyn...that sounds soooo good!

I tried something similar and it made a very nice glaze with the honey---but I used Tarragon vinegar instead of Balsamic-

Hmmmm....Chocolate...I grew Chocolate Mint one year and it was DIVINE!!!
