I just booked the loveliest backpacker's hostel I think I've seen - it is in Port Angeles, near the Olympic National Park.

We can do day cycling trips into the rainforest - wooohooo!

Has anyone else stayed in really lovely mountain cabins or other "rustic" types of accommodation on vacation?

It looks positively adorable! I'll have to keep it in mind if I make it down to Washington!

Hi Debs, Our favorite hostel is just south of San Francisco called the Montera Lighthouse Hostel. It's so wonderful to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean. Of course it's the most beautiful scenery too. In fact, the movie "Bandits" with Bruce Willis has a few scenes in it from the property but they made it look like a motel with a neon sign. Anyways, it's just cool to stay in an old lighthouse. Hope you have fun in the states. Let me know if you plan a stay in Colorado! Hugs' Luzy

Debs - my husband and I stayed in the greatest little tiled hostel/hotel in a little town in Morocco - I wish I could remember the name...WAIT! It was the Hotel Andaluz. Sounds Spanish, feels Moroccan...

Isn't it nice to stay in small, friendly, "homey" or at least rustic! places!

XOXO, Libbie
