I just talked to my mom. She said my sister called and said she had gone to the doctor for some tests and her lungs are just working about 30%. And that it looks like she might need a lung transplant. She is waiting for an appt. with a pulmonary specialist. It could be 2-4 week wait for that. She needs pray. I know ya'll are praying farmgirls and that she will feel your prayers soon. She lives in Colorado Springs. So far away from me.
Thank you all so much.

My girlfriends daughter had a double lung transplant 2 years ago and she is still doing fine. The worse part was she had to give up smoking for over a year before they would even consider it. I think she was in her mid 40's. I'll say a prayer for your sister.
Oh Kristin, how scary. My prayers out to you and your sister. It is hard with you so far away from her. It must be a comfort to her just knowing that you are there for her.
Thank you, ladies. I talked to her last night and she is calling the specialist today to make an appt. Doc told her if it's more than 5 weeks to call her and she will call and get it moved sooner. She has been taking Prednizone for only a few weeks now because they thought for years she had really bad allergies. But turns out it's her lungs. So doc told her to stop taking it. She has gained about 20 pounds and wants to eat all the time. So hopefully this will make her feel much better. And the specialist may have better news for her. Like ways she can make her lungs healthy without surgery or a transplant.

I shall pray for your sister. My 27 year old neice just had a double lung transport. She had leukemina when she was 17 and a bone marrow transplant. Supposedly that had something to do with damaging her lungs plus a doctor who kept saying it was just asthma. If she has to have one I know it can be quite an ordeal.
