DH sorted through his clothing and has a bunch of XL & XXL t-shirts to get rid of. I've been looking online for ideas for using them but am running into a bit of a problem. I'd love to repurpose them into clothing I can wear (they are way too big for me and I don't really need more t-shirts) but all the cute ideas like tank top dresses and skirts are a bit too short, form-fitting and funky for my comfort
Any ideas on what I can do with this treasure trove to expand my own wardrobe?
Have you ever thought of making them into rugs? It was in MJF magazine a couple of issues back. You cut the t-shirts into strips, attach them together and knit them into a rug. Not the idea you were looking for, but just a suggetion/ Liz
Thanks for the suggestion! I was thinking about a rug initially, as I also have a pile of old "rag-quality" t-shirts. I bagged up the good stuff to give away, but then started thinking about repurposing them for myself ;)
