Congrats to your daughter! Last night I went to see my husband play music and danced with friends into the wee hours of the night.

Both kids took a nap today. Funny how grateful I am for that.

My friends from Ohio got in last night and we will be meeting up today. I haven't seen them in a year. God be praised that they had a good drive to Texas.

Our weather experiment for school today I thought would a flop because in the middle of being outside and doing it, it started to rain. I thought "Oh great, this isn't good at all!!" But the boys got all excited and said "We made it rain! We made it rain!" and had these big grins because they thought since we were outside talking about rainstorms and doing this experiment, that THEY had made it all of a sudden start raining. It was cute. So then we danced around and got sopping wet on this day that was supposed to be sunny but gave us a special rainstorm. :)

I helped a dear (unofficial farmgirl) friend make a duct tape dummy of herself! Any time spent with my friend is lovely!

I got my garden weeding done for the week... I've been running behind and feel a bit more accomplished now that that's done!

Sold my car and even though we'll be down to one vehicle for a while, I'm out from under an almost 600.00/month car payment! One more bill scratched off the list. I think we may borrow our in-laws little Geo metro. We call it the rolling coffin because it's not the safest car if you get into an accident but it's free and we'll just stay off the highway

I received a couple of Gooseberry Patch Books in the mail that have my recipes :) After chores are done I will be cranking up the ac and get myself a cup of coffee or tea to sit down and read with. (They are both Harvest/Fall books, my favorite season! Yay!)

Dana, good for you! I know it's hard with only one vehicle (we have been doing that for the past 5 years) but it sure helps not having to make another car payment and pay for insurance, repairs, etc. :)

I am so doing the HAPPY DANCE for you Monica - way to go - I want pictures.

That I woke up here at my farm for one more day - bird singing, animals happy and healthy and the air so clean that you just stand there and inhale.

I also had a great day at the dye pot creating perfection on a Llama and Silk Blend roving - pure magic.....

Spent the day with great friends visiting the dairy farm for a field day. The kids got to feed calves & pigs, pet lambs, swing in the hayloft. Then we all went fishing @ a big pond. Perfect weather for all.

I got a call from my father, who NEVER calls me unless someone dies or some other catastrophe happens. We had a great chat which is special because our conversations are usually strained.

I managed to finish a quilt that I haven't been able to get to for months. It is a "just because" quilt for my niece. It kept getting pushed aside for business orders...
