Oh lucky you! I just got a few this spring and the guy told me to sprinkle aluminum sulfate 6' around where they are planted when you plant them and that's all. Plus a good pine straw mulch and lots of sun. And water real good the first year. So far mine are doing good. One had berries on it! Good luck.
Kris, Watch out with Aluminum sulfate! It can be used on flowers, like hydrangias, but its now good to use anything with aluminum on food plants! We got some stuff called soil sulfur that we use and there's also an ammonium sulfate that is safer with acid loving food plants. Pine needles are a lot safer. but we don't have many pine around here. We won't us aluminum pans anymore either, some research links aluminum in food with alzheimers! Susan
