That's right. . . a good friend of mine just called to let me know tonight's the night!!! WaHOOOOO!!!!! You know spring has officially arrived here in the mountains when we are in our gardens!!! So. . . tomorrow I will begin planting my cold weather crops like peas, lettuce, hmmmmm. . . wonder what else I might add?

So, for all of you who live in the cold zones. . . how are you coming with your garden start up?? Let me know!

I planted my cold crops about a month ago now I am just waiting to get the rest in. My liliac bushes and dogwood tree are my time to plant signs and neither has flowered out.

I understand all to well!! We had snow June 14th last year. . . so one needs to be very cautious. For me, the snow has melted and the ground has thawed, a good sign indeed. I will be creating mini green houses to cover up the garden plots. . this will help to warm the soil and to protect whatever I plant in the event of more snow.
